radar detector users encouraged to read this

When I ran a detector, I would cruise along the highway and wait until a faster car passed, let them get a little ahead and start pacing them. If we came up on a cop, my detector would go off, so I would slow down and they would get the ticket.
Has worked for me many times.
I called it running a rabbit.

I do that from time to time as well. Just watch out the cops that will come from behind.

Yeah, good point. It might be best if your in the middle of a group and then drop out when the detector goes off. Done this many times and I get funny looks when the others pass. They can't figure it out until they see the cops and I see brake lights. I'm still in wonderment. If I see a hot sports car slow down after running it with my SUV* I figure he knows something I don't so I slow down.

For some people, thinking isn't their strong suit.

* I can use my detector in the SUV, but generally don't because it's so obvious in the SUV. It's somewhat hidden in the Z car.

Me too! I don't even run a radar detector anymore. I either just join a convoy or run at 10 mph over on cruise control.
