Thanks for clarification. I was wondering if that was the difference. Guess there just isn't enough info on Chevy's version on ZL1. I assume it's not a supercharged car and will not be that fast in comparison. If it's not at least a 0-60 in 3.5 and 12.2 quarter mile it will be a waste @ $56,000. That's if it really comes out at $56K.

Neither the GT500 nor the ZL1 are going to come anywhere near a 3.5 0-60 in factory trim.

You're asking for ZR1 numbers from cars with less power and almost 1000# more weight and less tire.

Why do people think this is going to happen?

Because racecar.

...and finally GM gets it.

About time. Nissan did this in 2008 with the 2009 370Z sport package. Something that greatly impresses me about my car. Even the Z06 has positive lift. GM has finally stepped it up in the wind tunnel.

because people don't understand what goes into improving a 0-60 time.

...racecar

Well, at least GM shows you what they're doing on the car. Ford doesn't show much but brings a lot to the table.

Dodge well......:icon17:

I heard the Camaro SS is faster than a Z06 in the real world. ;) :p

Just working you up for our date. :bowrofl:

Here's a race for you

2 mile runway. First to the end wins

mick 03-16-2012 08:58 PM

i don't know about on the race track but in the real world, the more reckless driver will win :)
let's say the zl1 is faster. i would still like the gt500 better because it looks nicer too me (interior/exterior) and it also has a built in navigation system.

$60k is a bargain. i read that the base camaro sells for over $80k in China due to import tax and fees but they would still buy them.
