Default Exceeding Weight Limit?

How far over the weight limit can one go without messing up anything on the car? This is going to sound mean but I have a friend who wants to go on a ride but I'm afraid his weight combined with mine will have some serious effects on my car. I would say combined weight of both of us is probably 500lbs.

So having 350 lbs as a passenger vs 145 as the driver is silly? News to me, but thanks.

....dude, two grown men ~200lbs is completely normal/ so 400~500 should be no issue. and as i stated, the question was silly, not the situation.

the Z may be small, but its not a delicate little flower lol chill

I believe his question was in reference to the posted weight limit on the sticker inside the door, IIRC it was something like 450lbs total passengers/cargo. Seemed weird at the time both that they would have that, and it would be so low.

Probably just mess with handling dynamics a bit. Just slow down and don't drive like a crazy person.

At ZDayZ earlier this year there were some 370s with over 450lbs combined passenger/cargo weight blasting through the Dragon/Hellbender without issue. The car will do fine. Obviously it won't drive like it will with just a 145lb driver in the car, so take your time to feel it out with the added weight, but in general there won't be any trouble.

Hell, we took a 5,000 lb Maxima out on the Dragon for a spirited run and it did fine!

this is like cossie's situation with his trailer hitch for tires and such. it can be done but not really recommended. at the end im sure it wont have any permanent damage if you're careful and drive with common sense.

Years ago when I just got my '03 Mustang GT I was taking friends for rides in it. Well, my friend "Big Nick" rode with me and he was probably 350 lbs at the time if not more. I gunned it from a stop and banged through a few gears... he says, "damn, that's quick!" and I busted out laughing.

Yep. Not quite 5,000 lbs. We figure 4,700 as a rough estimate. It was a fun run. Dynamic Distribution Control FTW!
