Also asked for a crush washer for the drain plug, this is what Nissan gave me,
Looks different than the one guys are using in the DIY - oil change thread.

Went to 3 more automotive stores looking for a decent oil filter. Purolator is impossible to get here. Finally, the last local autoparts store can get me the K&N oil filter next day. I'll have it in the morning. I like small town living, but miss the convenience of the big city.
That doesn't look like a crush washer for the oil change. Looks more like a regular one.

It definitely isn't a crush washer, looks like a copper washer. Think it will be ok to use?

I would use the one specified for the plug:

Drain Plug Washer - Oil Pan - 2000-2004 Xterra V6/SC - 10 Pack :: Nissan Parts, NISMO and Nissan Accessories - Courtesyparts.com

Your local Nissan Dealer parts desk has them in packs of 10 for about $11.00

Thanks!

The scary thing is, that washer is what my local Nissan dealer gave me when I said I needed a crush washer for the oil drain bolt on my 370z
