yah, i had mine off for a couple of drives and other then the fact that the pedal slop was noticable at the top, it drove fine.

it wasn't too bad. there was like maybe 10-15mm of play at the top.

on stock spring it has clear indication when the pedal was back to its 'free' position but without the spring it went mush near the top. and i could physically move the pedal up a little with my hand or shoe.

with the softer helper spring, the pedal goes back to the 'free' position or very close to it.

The play is very little that after couple drive I completely forgot about it.

update on my Z, the service manager called and told me the Z won't be ready til next Wed……

So I will have to stick with my rental til next week…

Well, I will drive my winter car most likely, so it's ok. It's better if they take their time and get the job done properly, since I know to mount the canvas properly is a bit tricky so I won't rush them.
