hello, mr.alcheng!

yah, where i live has no importance. :D im usually in IA, IL, IN, MI, Ontario (canada).

Waiz 02-05-2012 02:50 PM

We had our big monthly meet yesterday so I took my time and washed my car as well as put on my nice V2 bumper:

http://i638.photobucket.com/albums/u...y/4ddad445.jpg

Went to pickup my friend from his house and the street he lives on was really, really bad but didn't see how bad until I went through it and ruined my bumper:

Closeup of the damage with a sticker temporarily holding things up:

I will be calling the city he lives in tomorrow and insisting that they pay for the damages since it was their fault for not smoothing out the street after recent repaving.

I am beginning to think that Mr. Kenchan's evasiveness about where he lives and whether he is truly Asian or not may be due to something related to the Witnesss Protection Program. Food for thought. :icon17:

I will call them tomorrow and see what they say.

Should be about $450 max for a repaint, it's been three years since I had that bumper so it was time anyway.

The OEM bumper is already back on the car, no canards though.

I normally have the OEM bumper on the car and put on my V2 for meets/events if time permits.

Good luck with that claim. Lowered car with non-stock bumper.

I'm not trying to be a smart arse, because I'm in the same boat since lowering my car and putting on a Nismo nose. I scrape the nose every day pulling out the driveway. The City is going through the neighborhood now resurfacing streets. If they raise mine anymore, I won't be able to get out.

I've already broken two retaining screws in the fender well. We installed a ramp/grate becuase everyone was scraping leaving the driveway. I'm still scraping. it's a function of the pitch of the driveway in relation to the street.

Love the look, so I'll live with the consequences. I hope all works out for you, so keep us posted.

If you see the photos of the intersection I took you can see how poorly they left the pavement, literally everyone even stock height normal sedans are scraping through there. I had no chance :shakes head:

I'm hoping I can get them to pay for it but if not no worries, I will just eat the cost.

I see. That's a nice arrangement to have swappability (sp?). :)

:mad:I'm kinda mad....but only so mad as $13 worth of useless product can make you!

When I bought my Vacmaster VWM510 vacuum on Amazon they listed on the same page a micro-cleaning kit V1MK as being a frequently purchased item with the vacuum. Little did I know that the Vacmaster (which I love by the way) uses a non-traditional 1 7/8" hose, whilst the micro-cleaning kit fits a 1 1/2" hose!

Now why in the hell would Amazon list it like that, if they were incompatible?

Logged in here to remind myself that I have a 370Z.
Between winter storage and my time up in the air, I have almost forgotten how to drive!

Dang Wais, I'm really sorry to hear that :( . I made the HUGE mistake of picking up my girlfriend with the Z in downtown LA, I have never seen roads that bad even in NYC and in the North east after winter.

That happened to me too but with Shop Vac accessories, you can sooner go to Home Depot or Lowes and pick up a stepped adapter for every hose diameter.

happytheman 02-05-2012 06:49 PM

Ooh! Thanks for the recommendation Christian! Ima check that out tomorrow! :tiphat:

Well, after giving my Z some Vacuum love, I gave it some the370z.com love!

I am awaiting taking the 370 to the shop in the morning for the steering lock replacement. Meanwhile, here is a shot from last weekend's photoshoot at Tower Bridge. This is me and Eric (not a Z guy, but a major photographer and geneticist). My son Colin shot this.

happytheman 02-05-2012 10:56 PM

Wow Mr. Onzedge, your friend Eric is really into Roots-based equipment, eh?

LakeShow 02-05-2012 11:08 PM

I've noticed this spread like crazy lately as well. I'm wondering if the only reason I haven't had this yet is because my steering wheel rarely locks
