Hey SlackA$$es!!! How is everyone doing?

Things have been crazy busy for me the last couple of months but I did find some time to help Papo with his spacer install.

I did get to go on a Z cruize last month... but it was after C&C and I rode the bike so I followed everyone and the wife drove the Z.

I have to go out of town tomorrow so I will be out of touch again for a little while but wanted to throw up a few shots from the cruiZe for you guys.

Wish I was going to ZDayZ again this year but our daughter is graduating from GMU that Friday. NOTHING will stop me from being there next year!!!

Enjoy...

Nice pictures. I like the one with the Westie. We have one, he drives me crazy. :rofl2:

Congrats to your daughter, Beach. You must be proud. GMU is a nice school.

happytheman 04-05-2012 09:33 PM

Beeeeeeeaaaaaccccchhhhh! What's up my brother? You've been missed around here man! :)

Great shots and grats on the gradumacation!

Fire 04-05-2012 09:46 PM

Congrats Beach. :ughdance:

onzedge 04-05-2012 09:47 PM

Nice photography, Mr. Beach. Congratulations to your daughter as well. I attended GMU in 79 and 80 then transferred to SDSU to finish up my Bachelor's. Man that was a long time ago. I am feeling old now and should probably go to bed even though it's only 745.

gurneyeagle 04-05-2012 09:50 PM

Congratulations Beach! Good to hear from you.

Nice pictures too!

Have a safe trip and check back when you can.

Fire 04-05-2012 09:54 PM

I'd love to get a portfolio of my ZL1 after I get it. Beach shoots great pics. Maybe at next years ZDayZ I can get some pro shots. :ugh2:

BeachZTT 04-05-2012 10:24 PM

Thanks everyone!!! You guys rock. Of all the forums I have frequented over the years, this one is head and shoulders above all. Because of you all! :tiphat:

I think I have about another month or so of insane scheduling and hopefully (fingers crossed) a little bit of a lul and time for some motorized fun. :driving:

I installed TapaTalk on my Nexus today so maybe I will chime in a little more often. Unfortunately, I work in a secure environment so I won't have it during my work day.

Definately a proud dad! All of our kids are doing great. The daughter graduating went to school on a full Volleyball ride, rocked her grades even with a tough student athlete schedule, and has been accepted into a masters program. If I had her drive, I would be on the GTR forum.

I expect to see ALL of you in Fontana next year! Yes, even you Edge!!! Fly out and we will get you in a Z. I will bring the bike and you can roll in mine. ;)

And you know we can work something out, Fire.

Oil changed with Mobil1 @ 17,300 miles

Got a quote from a PDR (painless dent removal) guy for $200 to take out a door ding. Does that sound reasonable? Said it would take 2 hours at most. "It's a hard to reach spot" (on the curved part of our driver's side door) and he said he prices by size of dent. A quarter, a golf ball, a baseball. He said my dent is like a little bigger than a baseball diameter.

Fire 04-05-2012 10:29 PM

Thanks beach I'll look forward to it. Don't reply at work cause I don't want the guys in black Suburbans to visit me LOL. $200 sounds fair but I haven't had it done before.

The price sounds about right.

I don't think that is unreasonable. We had three smaller hail dents removed from the hood (about dime size) and that is about what our guy charged. I know where they were and I can't find ANY evidence that they existed. Worth every penny!

It's ok... we already have a file on you. :rofl2:

Fire 04-05-2012 10:42 PM

Crap well actually the means I'm not just paranoid cause people where following me. They are probably the same ones beaming voices into my head. I think an aluminum foil hat will deflect the radio waves being beams into my head LOL :eekdance:

BeachZTT 04-05-2012 10:47 PM

Couple of important points here:

1) The aluminum foil hat helps.

2) It's not paranoia if the are REALLY after you.

I gotta be up early tomorrow so I am outa here. I will try and catch up with you guys over the weekend if I get a chance.

Fire 04-05-2012 10:49 PM

Do a road trip my way. I'll do a shoot for you, and schedule a plant tour for you too.

Fire 04-05-2012 11:16 PM

Gale that is def. do able. Would they allow pics of the ZL1 in production? I work three day weekends so have them off every other weekend. I'd love to be able to get up there sometime this summer after I get my ZL1. I'm more than willing to pay for a portfolio. If you have any retro gas stations or other kind of retro pic sites that would be a bonus. :ughdance:

No photos in the plant, people have lost their jobs over that.

I'll have to do some searching for a retro gas station. Other retro places, no problem. Good times!

Fire 04-05-2012 11:52 PM

Gale if I buy you a pountine that would make up for you losing your job right LOL OK N/P I have 2 sales brochures that I could get one signed by some of the workers either that day or I could send it to you and pick it up that weekend eh?:ugh2:

Fire 04-05-2012 11:54 PM

Oh and does the factory have production dvd of the ZL1 that they sell?

Fire 04-06-2012 12:11 AM

I'm off to bed. See you guys later.

Alchemy 04-06-2012 06:21 AM

YAWN......About to head out the door early this morn to stop by the dealer and test drive my car. They have been telling me "ya 5th IS a little hard to get into". I keep explaining that the neutral gate seems to extend too far. IDK what they dont understand about that. The other day I suggest to him possibly adjusting the block off plate. I think that may have made a light bulb go off so hopefully they adjusted it. If I go down there and the trans is still like it was when I dropped it back off Monday Im gonna be pissed. The first couple times I talked to them after I dropped it back off the guy was pretty much like "this is the way the trans is and there is nothing we can do about it". I was like "no way!! my old trans didnt feel like this and I have also never felt a manual trans do this!!" He also attributed my check engine light to "my tune dumping too much fuel at start up". :icon14: I told him its been coming on since before I did any mods:facepalm: So basically Im gonna get the car back, the check engine light is gonna come on, again and Im gonna have to bring it back, AGAIN.

Dzel 04-06-2012 06:56 AM

Forget that get on that a**.

LunaZ 04-06-2012 06:58 AM

Leaving my Z home today in favor of the trusty Ranger.
I've got five boxes of studio lighting arriving at the salon today. Something tells me it's not all going to fit in the Z's hatch.

Dzel 04-06-2012 07:02 AM

Typical problem with the Z, I put my sub woofer in the car (still havent purchased an enclosure box made for the hatch) and I have zero cargo space right now.

Fire 04-06-2012 07:03 AM

Nope don't think they will fit. Sorry have to use a diff. vehicle.:icon23:

I don't work there any more, but you can buy me a poutine anyways. lol. Getting your sales brochures signed by the hard working people on the line would be no problem.

They should but they don't. They did have a documentary type show made for TV. Something like the TV show "How it's made". It was on YouTube in 3 or 4 parts. I'll see if I can find the links for you.

GaleForce 04-06-2012 08:28 AM

Good morning all. Not sure if I'll get to the Z today, lots to do around the house...

Hope everyone has a great day!

Alchemy 04-06-2012 08:38 AM
