It's ok TerribleOne, steve doesn't have a Z, so there's nothing better for him to do than being a :postwhore: in a Z forum averaging 35 post a day. LOL :bowrofl:

yah, been searching for a used hatch under $18K under 30K miles. mostly GTI's and MINI's. i might just go to a MINI forum and search local private sellers. im more familiar with MINI's (since i owned one for 6yrs prior to getting the Z)...so i can work on them.

lol my hatch costs 15,500 new. Obviously not in the same realm as GTIs or Minis as far as performance/luxury options.

xb i think is only 1.5k more than xd but I may be wrong. The pedals are ok. I'm 6'4" (proportionally sized legs and torso) and havent had trouble with the pedals. Haven't ever been in a fit so I wouldn't know how it compares.

that fishbone pict mr.alchemy drew made it clear wat the problem was with the gates with neutral extended past the 5/6 gate plane. :icon17:

happytheman 04-03-2012 04:28 PM

So I came out and the sun is blazing through my driver's side window.

You with me so far? Good, I'll go on then.

I've got my trusty hat on my PWJDM SS knob, right?

I remove my trusty hat from said PWJDM SS knob and apply palm to knob's surface......

Immediate.....searing......pain!

Don't try this at home kids! :)

kenchan 04-03-2012 04:36 PM

that sucks, mr.happy. :( hope you can find other remedies for that PWJDM.

my G's TWM knob does not get all that hot in the sun. i think it has to do with the satin finish it has... polished/brushed finish makes it HOT. and my Z being in the garage and only motor her on weekend morning, no issue with the knob getting hot.

ZMan8 04-03-2012 04:38 PM

Really even under the hat?

The car is there now. "Darryl" left right before I showed up so I couldnt have him look at it. Its staying overnight and awaiting him in the morning. I have my fingers crossed.

SPOHN 04-03-2012 04:58 PM

I mourned for my car today. I don't have a hood on it. I have all these parts sitting here waiting to be installed this weeked. It's has set there for a couple weeks now. Needs a wash. I'm just about ready to take the week off to get it back right.
