Mt Tam I am 01-18-2012 08:13 PM

It was 53*F on the way home vs 30*F this morning.

I had a rare wide open road home, most of the way. When a pull out came up, the truck ahead of me, used it. A few seconds later I got to pass a Prius who flipped me off. It felt so good, making up for any and all transgressions of the day. I hope he gets a chance to do it everyday.

Still no rain either. I plan to take advantage with a night drive tonight as well. The temp is falling so I'd better do it soon.

Hey Mt I think that was Waizzz that flipped ya off. Hmmm why would he do that LOL. He must have been frustrated being in a Prius. Yes i would gladdly shoot myself in the head before driving a Prius. For fuel economy I drive my Titan. 13mpg :woot: :argue:

kenchan 01-19-2012 02:52 PM

Fire 01-19-2012 03:05 PM

I'd like it better if it wasn't in the garage hibernating. Remember my slush is faster than your stick at the quarter mile:ughdance: Just sayin.

LOL that is only on your 2009's right?

Fire 01-19-2012 03:13 PM

All weekend looks like crap. Only good thing is that I'm working so it doesn't matter. Finally racing will be back on next weekend with the 24 hours of Daytona. Will be watching Barrett-Jackson auction taped this weekend.

Uh oh. Ken will tell ya how to deal with that. He has a short 10 step cleaning for it. I think step 8 is a weekend long clay bar treatment.

I am ordering tomorrow or Saturday. I am only waiting because soemtimes one of my kids' shops can get Koni at pretty low cost and I am waiting for them to get back to me. I will know for sure tomorrow and if they can't get me a deal, then I am probably ordering from Kami. They quoted $940 delivered.

:roflpuke2:

I just borrow it once a week so I can carpool to work. Normally in my 100 mile round trip I average 56mpg, once I even was able to average 68mpg when I took a route that had more surface streets.

Believe me, once you see how much money you save you won't hate on a Prius. I hated them before I started using this one and will definitely get one as my next car. :)

wow, that's a nice price.

Fire 01-19-2012 03:51 PM

None of those cars appeal to me. I'll pay $10 a gallon and get 5mpg before getting one. Smart cars, leaf, prius ect don't do anything for me. I'll push my out of gas Titan first.

I too am going through Kami, just deciding on brake pads. Really wanted to go with the Endless ss-y pads Kenchan recommended but Kami doesnt carry them :( Prob getting some Project Mu pads.

I have been running Hawk HPS with slotted StopTech rotors for about a year and I am very pleased with them.

cool, keep us posted on the project mu's. im especially interested in the squeak-free hard biting performance in wet/cold temps (40F and below).

Waiz 01-19-2012 06:04 PM

Kenchan, hows the dust on those PMU's?

My StopTechs are great, just a tad dusty :(

im not sure about the project mu's as i dont run them. im currently running endless nuovo pads on my G. dust is only slightly less than the stock brembo's pads but the biting power improved by quite a margin and no squeaking.

i dont mind the dust much since i wash my G pretty much once a week. :)

:( wont be able to tell you about cold temps as I wont have my Z back on the road/pads installed till spring. Maybe if I get it back on the road early enough Ill see some lower temps at night.
