It's fine... but you could go up to 3,000 RPM when cold and be OK.
Spearfish did a cold-start and cold-drive video a while back that showed how high the oil pressure can get when the car is cold and under even a very light load.

let's go bog our engines while cold. you drive a AT or something? just drive it normally. i rev 1st gear lightly up to 3.5k as usual but dont mash the pedal. the bigger issue is how much load you're forcing the engine to push while cold i thinks.

yah, but this is a car sold to the general public for general street use. if one puts misc parts tampering with the stock setting i am sure things can break.
![]() i dont foresee myself driving under 2k rpm on street just to warm up the oil. i drive normally and once temps are above 150F range i gradually open her up.

I doubt I will have to use a block off plate in Central TX. Maybe if I get stationed in Italy or in MD. I read that thread as well just in case..........
