Everyone knows the 370z has very bad throttle response.

I don't have that issue on my G37, also Eng over heating I don't have that issue.

You can get Sport/Nav Touring, I just saying Nissan they need to up there game a bit and add more thing's. Look at the BMW M1 or Audi S4.

I would pay $46K for 370z that looks like NISMO with all the touring goods.

The Next Gen NISMO should be 375HP with a GT package, BMW Audi and others offer so many nice options and packages for there cars.

The next Infiniti IPL will be about $70K and have from what I have heard over 400hp.

The GT-R is $95K they can come out with a $50K NISMO Z with much better setup and better paint work.

The NISMO Z needs to be the real deal! and keep up with BMW and Audi.
Isn't that what the bloated over optioned G37 is for? You know giving impression that it's a Quasi Euro GT car? Even g37 falls short there. 370z Nismo isn't aimed at BMW and Aud sedan markets in my mind. If anything 370 should be losing options and weight in my opinion or its going to be sucker punched by new Toyota FT86 and Subaru BRZ. Only posuers want a 2 seat Sports GT car weighted down with silly options like nav, etc. If the ft86 or brz were out when I bought my 370z Im sure at a minimum I would have test driven them.

Here's what I'd want for 2013 nismo

seam welded chassis
Serious bucket seats that allow harnesses
Cross beam that allows harnesses to be attached
True coil over suspension
Camber and toe adjustable suspension arms
Real clutch type LSD
Lightweight door panels
Stereo and AC delete option
Motorsports level oil cooler
Automatic clutch type tranny like Porsches use
Nice lightweight aluminum hat rotors with lightweight Brembo calipers with performance tuned abs system
3.8 liter direct injection motor
Paint the car with real paint - gosh Nissan paint sucks!
Get the car to 3000 lbs
Fix the blasted fuel starve issue

That would pretty much smash anything in under $50k category

That's a nice list.

But funny thing is if you look at the BMW M1, 0-60mph in 4.8secs 356HP /3,296 pounds and has lot stuff in it.

Why is that the 370z NISMO can't do that?

The 1 Series M has like 60 ft-lb of torque more than the Nismo......

Funny thing... you all that remember the 0-60 Z track record thread would have noticed the NISMO speed record in stock form thus far is 4.5/12/.9. So that in itself beats at least the 60 time of the M1. Which I saw motorweek and they got 5.1 for the 1M. Seems like it accelerates on par with the Z in stock form. The torque advantage comes from turbos.

Now notice every car you are dragging into the comparo is $20-30k more expensive than the NISMO. Japan has a leather NISMO????? Then be original and order one straight from japan. You said you are willing to spend 46k right??? Well get a lightly used one for 35k in japan and use the other 11 k and bring it over. See now you'll be the man.
So the NISMO has leather. Order JDM NISMO seats.
The only thing our NISMO truly needs right now is more power and weight reduction. As far as 1M having more torque. Its a turbo. You are making comparisons that can't be really made under the circumstances.
Remeber a base/manual is 32k a base manual sport is 35k. That's pretty cheap for the performance level that matches a 60k porsche. The NISMO and touring are 40k.

Earlier you brought up oil heating issues. You know the 12 is now oil cooled right? Though not many changes have occured, the Z has been tweaked for better bump absorption, some engine rasp reduction and in cabin volume. Throttle response has increased a little bit. And when you spend $100 on a pair of K&N filters. The Z throttle response increases to decent levels. " I'm NOT saying there's not room for improvement." But what you want is like 75% unnecessary for a performance car @ the price range. You are completely neglecting price range with the Z. And its been proven in the 90's that the Z won't sell with porsche pricing.
If you're so impressed with BMW performance ? You can always throw in a bimmer in your stable.

The M1 needs two turbos to do that. There are pickup trucks that can do nearly 5 second 0-60.

Nismos focus isn't on 0-60 times.
