Nissan 370Z Forum

Anyone cross-shopped or compared a Mitsubishi EVO X MR?

I always had the impression that the EVO/STI were a pure tracking machine.

Both are great cars, i never really looked at going from my 8 to an X however for 2 reasons. weight and high reving 5th gear. It all depends on what you want. If your looking at the MR i would asume you know that the tranny cant be pushed over 350wtq so you are limited in upgrades with the MR. If you go with the 5sp you can throw bolt ons on it and run low 12s in the qm. I find the tq a little weak in the 370 it def needs a turbo or SC. If your just looking for a car for yourself and maybe your special lady friend then get the Z if u need more room and dont want to do a lot of modding get the X MR if you want an all out beast with room for the fam get and EVO 8 or 9

The choice is made. My very practical wife expressed the concern that the EVO is not sporty enough.

How can I argue?

Default Before buying the 370z drove and considered buying..

Took a long look at the 2010 Camaro SS. Having owned a 68 Camaro SS396, I thought I'd like it better than I did. My impressions.... They went too far beyond a retro-feel, and the exterior is way too busy. They did however nail the console guage package. The Challenger came across as sedan-like and just too big and heavy. The styling is much closer to the original than the Camaro however. Drove a Honda S2000 CR. The car felt no different than my old CRX Si at the low end, and the removable hard
top was a major drawback.

I was in love with the Lancer Evo for years. When the Evo X came to canada I was the first to try to get one. The dealerships here made it damn near impossible to buy one. The dealerships out here sucked so bad I stopped liking the Evo after 2 years of of trying to buy one only to be shafted time and time again. They wouldn't even let me test drive saying it was there equivalent to a corvette and drived like one! Was so mad that I walked across the street to Nissan and fell in love. EVO_Killer was born!!!

The other thing I really hated about the EVO was the fact the sh*ty base Lancers look so much like the Evo its hard to tell. That pissed me off! My $50000 car looks like a $16000 car!
