Side mirrors are to see to the side. Rear-view mirror is to see behind. No reason your side mirrors should see any of the body or behind you, they should be all the way out to the side.

When backing up into a parking space you can move your head so you see the fenders/parking space lines.

Also... I got a back-up camera. really helps with parking and making sure I don't hit any kids walking by. (peace of mind)

Not trying to be funny but... the 370 is NOT a pick-up truck. We don't tow anything (I think) with our cars. Yes, the rear view is not the greatest (the coupe, that is). But really.... I wouldn't be caught dead driving a car like the 370 with convex mirrors on the side mirrors. And I'm quite sure the 'Vette set" or the "Audi set" (or any other true sports car owner) would feel the same way. Oh sorry.... except for the Ford owners

There's automated mirror equipment that can automatically move your mirrors into your blind position the second you click on a blinker. That's slightly more pricey and it takes splicing into the electrical system but its out there.

The other thing I miss with the Z, its a little short on torque, then again my daily car is 91 Mustang GT

thanks for anything and everything......

I agree. Why would you adjust the side mirrors so they give you the same view as the rear mirror??

In fact, I wish the angle of the side mirror on the Z could go out a bit further more, there is a tad blind spot.

I notice, the side mirrors of European car has a much further outward angle than Japanese car, at least on the Audi, Jag, Bimmer and Mercedes......

i agree, i had 20th anniversary mirrors on my VW GTI and it kinda splits towards the end of the mirror and it gives you this angled view.

i still think everyone should just drive 100mph, youll be flying by everyone which will eliminate the need to look at blind spots.....

it will take a little time to get use to the blind spots. but adjusting the mirrors
all the way out really is the best way for me. but you still have to be very aware of your surrounding's. the worst is backing out of any parking spot.
no way around that............. my main gripe about the mirrors is they look like
nissan stole them from the ford f150's

The only thing you can do about backing out of a parking spot is to reverse into the spot. Or just make sure you're facing forward when driving out of a spot. Pain in the ***, especially angled parking spaces.

The convex small mirrors might not look great, but is better safe than sorry!

True!!! So True!!! No one can stay at your blind spots at all.

So does Officer Bob, but he will appear on your rear mirror with the cherries blinking.

My issue is that other drivers can't normally see me not me seeing. My seat is as far back as it will go and if I put the mirrors as far out as they can go, the blind spot gets really small and it's towards the front. Setting the mirrors far outside and just looking over your shoulder on either side will cover it.
