Default Update

So a few little things that I would assume are normal to a car with 20k miles. No biggie, just thought I would share.

First up... this part which I will just call a suspension arm for lack of a better term. I'm assuming this is the part that Nissan is swapping out due to rust. It's not the parts fault, rather, the crappy paint which most likely gets chipped due to being so close the front wheels/ground/debris and then, well, rust ensues!

Anyway, no biggie. Some sanding and repainting are in order. No real loss of metal from what I saw. Same on both drivers side and passenger btw...

In this underside view you can see that it's pretty much all the way around the entire outside edge.

A view from the top shows considerably less...

Other little things would include a spot of rust on the bottom portion of my coilover spring...

Also noticed the plastic cover on my SS brake line is starting to show signs of wear...

Well there it is. Everything else looks spot on albiet a bit dirty.

Do you think it would be possible to use the spray on bedliner crap along the bottom and edges of that piece? Would be much more durable than paint.

I imagine so but it sounds kinda like a PITA although I don't know what that process is. I think after a decent sanding, applying a base coat of primer followed by a good enamel should last for some time.

Yea, Mike I always check mine before Canyon carving.

My driver rear end link has a habit of breaking loose after a good run.

Yeah it's on my drivers side too. I bought a new nut and put a split washer in to try to lock it in a bit better.

I found my right rear like that when doing a pre-track check one time.

Must just be vibration on suspension parts. There was a bit of rub/wear on the arm so it had been like that for a few miles at least
