I am short (5'8-5'9 ish), so yes the giant mirror slaps me in the face, when I make a left turn, but 99% of the time it's not an issue, if you're aware of your surroundings before hand (specifically referring to when the mirror blocks your sight of a pedestrian crossing).

Clear Bra should provide at least some protection for the clear-coat as long as you don't hit too hard it shouldn't mess the car up. Most people recoil from such a situation, lessening damage to your car. It's the children that you have to worry about, they can take out a radiator and often times are oblivious to their surroundings and may not flee in time.

Why PS2s? They are old and the new PSS is better.

Also, stock exhaust is too quiet. It should have come stock with the NISMO exhaust.

I thought the new PS2-ZP was the latest and greatest, and non ZP for cars that don't use them.

How is the NISMO exhaust?

How good are the OEM Potenza's on the sport package?

I had considered the Fast Intentions exhaust cat-back setup. From what I can see, it's a no-brainer in bolting it on as you don't have to go over the suspension as you do with the other cars I have owned, basically, un-bolt the exhaust, pull it off the hangers, and reverse. Am I missing something? It looks like 45 minutes under the car, max.

I would want ZERO drone, though. Drone FTL.

The Potenzas are fine. No need to change them out until they wear out.

NISMO exhaust sounds pretty good. You can actually hear it, but it's not obnoxious at all. It would be my ideal exhaust if I get a roadster. Sounds like a stock sport exhaust, maybe a little quieter than the stock 5.0.

I will probably do that VS. FI, then, and instead of money on PS2's or PSS, I will keep the Potenza's.

No drone with the NISMO.

FI is very deep. Some say it drones, some say it doesn't. I definitely experienced it, though.

Good call on the tires. I doubt you'll even take the Potenzas to the limit on the street, so just get your moneys worth and spend the $1400 on new rubber when you actually need to.

I just know the stock F1 G:2's on my Z06 are worthless below about 70*. They HATE! the cold, and they require a good 20 minutes warm-up even in moderate temps. Was scared the Potenza's sucked too, glad to hear they do not.

NISMO brake-pads a good buy, or not? I read where the base/sport pads absolutely die if you use them AT ALL.

Oh they suck in the cold too. Lol - its the pains of a high performance summer tire. The rubber compound is just not made for cold, at all.

Yep, any summer tire is going to be that way.

I have never experienced so much fail, though. Performance tanks below 70* with the F1G:2's. Night and day once you get into the 60* weather. I know my F1GSD3's were not nearly as variable.

Well, below 70* any sumer tire will require a bit of warm up time. Though they won't start to get really dangerous (if you know what you are doing) until it drops below 50*.

Point taken, but noone is happy with the F1G:2's. Spring Mountain takes them off their 'vettes as soon as they arrive and throws them into storage. They then pay out of pocket for Michelin's that go on the car for track use (PS2-ZP's in OEM sizes).

That said worlds to me, considering GM sponsors Spring Mountain, and Goodyear is who GM is contracted on for every corvette but the ZR1 and Z07 package models.

GSD3's are dated designs imho... not sure when the F1G's came out but i can say that the latest S04 Pole positions and Conti DW's stick very well even in 35F. the compound is softer.

RE050A's (nor their pole positions) dont stick too well under 50F.

im not sure but did bridgestone change to a softer compound for their summer tires? i notice slight flat spotting the first 3-4min or so when my car's parked for more than a few days at factory psi. never had this on RE050A's or the RE050A pole positions.

i noted spearfish had the same issue on RE11's. it's not a huge deal as it's not permanent but i can hear and feel the slight vibration the first mile on cold mornings. no issue on the DW's.

Nismo exhaust with berk HFC's has a very nice deep sound with no drone. If i had to do it over i'd go FI Long Tube Headers and the nismo exhaust.
