What if there were 2 GTRs...
first would be you basic GTR body with a TT and a 6 speed and , we will call it a Phase II which is what is the normal GTR .. I think Nissan could sell that ... |

Prior to the R35s the Skylines and GTRs were different trim levels of the same. Nissan made a decidsion to separate the two into 2 deferent lines. I don't see anything less than the GTR you see now and special editions coming out.

Yes no doubt, but in all reality with the price of the GTR not a chance. I would never spend 90G's on a nissan product. Not that nissan is a bad car by any means its just not a super car in my opinion.

GTR any day. honestly i think the new 2012 GTR is the best bang for your buck on the whole auto market right now.
80k for a 0-60 2.9 seconds, 1/4 mile like 11 something at like 122MPH. plus it handles like a dream. geez hard to believe its only 80k. and now they have the black edition.

well close its more like 91K and 97k MSRP for the 12's...but in one sense yeah its hard to call it a bang for the buck deal since almost 100K is alot of money no matter what your comparing it too...but stacked up against the competition is does seem like a hell of a deal |

fasr as i know, lots of wealthy people bought one just for "fun" but sold it off in a while, trading it in for a porsche or ferrari..
main reason - doesnt feel like driving a supercar.. even though specs are supercar-like...

Translation. My rich friends and myself don't know anything about cars. Except the lable on the outside. And I'd rather pay twice or three times as much on a car because it doesnt say "Nissan".

people always the new mustang 5.0L is a great bang for your buck. it is producing numbers of a BMW m3. but when you drive both you will feel much better driving a M3. but thats why it cost 20k more. is it worth it ? idk.

ya its all in perspective.... whats really a bang for the buck is a well kept used GTR... for instance i sold mine with 14K miles on it for 60K and it was immaculate... for 60K nothing out there is touching you... |

Not being GT-R specific, but I would love to have an R33 or R34 GT-R. It's smaller, has a silky smooth i6 turbo, 6-speed, but is RHD. The R34 Z-Tune is my dream, but way out of my league (actually all GT-Rs are
![]() Driving the Nissan Skyline GT-R Z-tune by Peter Lyon I would probably get the R35 if I was involved in a situation where I'm unable to row my own gears... hope not.
