I understand if someone is careful with their high end car, but they had the choice to park further away like I did where there were no other cars but this owner decided to be a douchebag and park as close to the building as possible AND take up two spots. In a hospital parking lot.

The owner could have walked an extra 30 feet and parked out here:

LOL easy to say, none of us owns a Ferrari. If people already mess up with your Z; how bad do you think that would be for a car costing as much as a house in the Northeast? I had my old 300ZX keyed deep 12 inches barely into a few weeks of ownership. I have seen guys in beatup cars driving in parking lots and looking for the nicest cars just to try to dent them with the rusted junks (why??). If I had a car like that (Personally speaking, I know I never would even if I could afford it, I'm not the kind to blow that much money on anything that's neither an investment nor gains any value) I will do what needs to be done to protect from jealous/lousy drivers... That's just my opinion.

Your views would be different if you had one

Of course it's easy for me to say! Because I'm not an a$$hole that would park like that. Even if i had a car that cost that much i still would not park that way.

I'm pretty sure if i could afford that car, I could afford a really nice beater car, like a 370, hahahah. Or if i had to park my expensive car in a lot, I'd try to find the best single spot like an end space so one one car is next to me. I'm just not that rude of a person.

Yeah, but if the point is to avoid any potential damage you would think you would try and draw at least fractionally less attention by parking properly. I'm sorry, but the car stands out much more if it is parked like the owner is the king of the land. That says look at me, I think I am better than anyone which is much more likely to be met with acts of automotive violence.

I maintain: park further away or do not park at all, don't park like you are entitled to special privileges as nice car or poor car, neither give you any.

I'm on the fence here.... but if I was the owner of the Ferrari, I think I prolly would NOT have parked the car ANYWHERE. I'd just drive it to drive, no parking. I don't think I could relax 1 second.

He still shouldn't have taken up two spots like that, that close to the building. Granted, I don't think anyone would have the kohones to key that car.... but............ just saying. That's gutsy.

I think he did you a favor; its not a cheap car, its in good condition, he left lots of space and is preventing someone with a '79 ford rustbucket from parking next to you.

In the Lexus owners defense, I will often park my Z next to another nice car, hoping the owner is as concerned as I am about bad parkers and will protect at least one side of my vehicle as I am protecting his....

yeesh that's a big pic!

I try to do that too if I can. Still leave plenty of space in between, but I would assume people with nice cars are extra careful.

At least the Ferrari owner didn't take FOUR spots like the Mazda3 wagon driver in my pic!
I'll give him two spots, but he should do it in no-man's land.

I don't like parking the Z anywhere other than home. I drive it just to drive it, not to go anywhere.
