Depending where you live also plays a factor on insurance prices as well.

again, it does depend of area, driving history, age.. which factor into the pricing. but 2k for 6 months is outrageous. i have been w/ Geico for over 15 yrs, never any problems w/ rates.

My friend who is under 25 asked me a similar question the other day but I couldn't answer his question.

His insurance is with State Farm along with his parents and siblings. Don't the insurance people usually ask who would be the main driver of the said car?
So say if he bought a 370Z and with his insurance, claim that his father would be the main driver, would his insurance rate be raised?

I am very old and retired. Pay State Farm $320 every 6 months for full coverage. No deductable on comprehensive and $250 deductable on collision. Also have a 2005 Altima and 2001 Dodge Caravan insured with them.

Seems like American Family insurance is not popular here...

I have American Family and I pay about 640/6 months. I am also 25 years old and turning 26 in the summer. They wanted to charge me over 700 but I haggled them down considering my record is clean with no claims on my insurance for the 7-8 years I have been with them. I also have a very high credit score. I am also insured for second vehicle (Toyota Highlander).

Hey everyone.

Im new to this site but I have some pretty good knowledge on this subject. My dad owns an insurance company. Anyway, There are a lot of things that go into your insurance quotes, your age, driving history, what kind of car you have, what kind of insurance you want (full coverage, or liability only) etc. Most car insurance companies give you a large break on your 21st birthday so if your 21 or older, your insurance will be lower. Your next big break will be on your 26th birthday. If you have a bad driving record then you will be considered high risk, that will effect it as well. Every car has an insurance rating which determines how high your insurance will be, unfortunately for us, our car is rated higher than a Z06 corvette for the fact that most people that drive this car are younger people as apposed to the corvette, who's owners are generally older.

If you have a clean record, 21 years old, and want full coverage then a good cost should be between 1000-1400 depending on what insurance company you go through.

Not saying most of you didn't already know this but just to clarify in case anyone didn't know some of the factors they take in to consideration.

i thought mine was high... i was with farm bureau until it went from $100 a month to $600 a month for 2 tickets. i'm with nationwide now and pay $200 a month. if you have farm bureau i suggest you drop their coverage immediately.

That is a fine approach until you get caught. Why not just be honest? There is too much deception in the world already.
