Yes they can. If a guy cuts you off, and then you cut him off again in response, that can turn ugly in a hurry. If a guy yells at you and you yell back, same deal. "Eye for an eye", whether justified or not, can turn into a road rage situation. I know people who've had guns pulled on them. I am much more passive on the road when I can help it. Sometimes my temper gets the better of me, but you have to keep things in perspective. Are you safe? Is your vehicle damaged? Are you endangering others?

I'm not saying I wouldn't have done the same thing you did in that situation. I'm sure I would on a bad day. Just saying that it bears some risk.
