Years ago I had a 66 Mustang 2+2 that was channeling a Shelby GT350, in some ways it was actually better (faster and cornered better) than the GT350. I intentionally did not put any GT350 graphics or badging on the car because I didn't want to spend all of my time explaining to people that the car was not a GT350 but a 2+2.
Be proud of what you are building, a Nismo EQUIPPED 370Z, but please don't try to pass it off for what it is not. The Nismo 370Z name belongs to those folks who put up the substantial additional dollars for the Nismo package. Anything else is dishonest. Call your car a Nismo at your peril, I can think of almost nothing that will anger the members of this forum more than misidentifying your car as a Nismo when it isn't. |

I wanted a Nismo edition 370Z. But I also wanted a Blue Z. I thought about it for a while and since I was going to mod it anyway, I just got the Base Z in Monterey Blue for $10K less. Got the Nismo body kit and my upgrades and will have a "Nismo" 370Z in MB. Don't care what people think. I wanted Blue more than what you people think about my Z.

You better not put NISMO badges on it, or we'll have to hunt you down!

Um thats not fair. Lots of people with Nissan cars put NISMO license plate frames on them. Like 240SX, 300ZX etc. Do they all need to remove them since they don't have a "Nismo" ?
