Douchbaggery among 370z drivers???

I usually glance once or twice at other Z owners, and if I don't make contact, I don't even bother.

I've got a stack of trophies and tickets that say otherwise, youngster.

If you wave at someone and they don't wave back, no big.
Maybe they didn't see you. Maybe they're not an enthusiast. Maybe they don't know the protocols you've laid out for them. You could rest on your laurels knowing you're a better man than the other guy because you initiated a wave or you could go all road-ragey, run him down and force him to return your wave Jack Bauer-style.
Seriously, if you're hurt that someone doesn't return your wave, you've got some self-esteem issues. Somebody call the whaaambulance!

I like to wave at joggers I see on the road. They usually wave back and I get the pleasure of knowing they're spending the rest of their run wondering "who the heck was that?"

not everybody is a car guy, some people just buy the car and drive it and could care less if you have one.

LOL & Touche'! I suppose your attention can still be outside, but not on the other drivers' faces.

My experience with unusual or older cars is a friendly camaraderie. I've found this is Corvairs, Mustangs, GTO's, XKE's, and certainly Z cars until the advent of the 350Z. My 300 ZX tt was my second Z, and up until then, a wave was almost the rule. The last wave I got months ago was from a 280Z.

Last week I had a 370 driver stare at me as I waved at him and he looked at me like I was crazy, and just slowly drove past, staring.

Oh well life moves on and maybe Z car drivers can have the reputation Porsche drivers get, Pricks on the inside, or Corvette drivers and their small pricks.

If I can, I will continue to wave.

Yup basically what happens to me too.

I waved at someone broke down on the side of the freeway today! They looked at me like I was crazy. All I kept thinking was this thread so now those people can say a guy in a 370z waved at them! My good deed is done for the day my friends!

Haha I have the samething on the bike. You get the doucher Harley guys that wont throw down 2 fingers cause you are on a sport. Then I get the moped guys that try and wave to me, they just get the head shake. I know on the bike I at least try and throw the head nod, even if Im in traffic or in a turn.

Of course after years of riding in traffic on a bike I think some people are just completely oblivious to whats going on around them. Ive had people put their cars in reverse on me at lights, merge on top of me even though I can plainly see them in their mirror, and think I always want to race them because I pull next to them. Some people should just not have licenses thats all there is to it.

I almost always get acknowledgement from 200 series Zs, because they are almost always car enthusiasts. I occasionally get a thumbs up from a GT-R owner, which is like getting a hi from a hot chick.
