I thought for the Z28 Chevy was using the L99 or whatever the motor is thats in the Vette ZR-1?

That is the LS9. Supercharged 6.2L.

The CTS-V is using a slightly modified LS9, called the LSA - which is interesting as it is...

Gah...cast pistons. So to reep the full benefits, you'd need to swap the bottom end and swap the blower. Bam, you have an instant LS9 for the most part...
