Not sure if this was a factor, but everyone please be extra cautious with your summer tires as the temps start to drop. I've noticed that especially with my very worn tires, they're much harder in the 60F weather than they were in similar temps last year. I slip all over the place before they warm up.

Maybe you are correct. I hope all heed your warning. I would think that slicks or worn tires might give you more grip in dry weather. Cold tires and cold weather are always an issue.

I hope the OP's damage is easily repaired and back on the road soon.
