I'm 46 years old and own my house (mortgage / debt free), that's the only reason I can afford to own MY DREAM 2012 Z....

Theres quite a few people in that age range that saved a substantial down payment to purchase the vehicle. Also, not everyone that bought their Zs got them brand new. This is why I bought a certified pre-owned for 22K... instead of brand new for 33-43K... makes a huge difference in car payments. Plus my certified pre owned for 22K has all services complete with dealer, both keys, new tires/new pads etc and had 34K on the clock when I got it. Nice to have someone else take the huge hit up front value wise.

That's making a lot of assumptions. Im in that age group and have the Z+ a dd (also in payment) and can still afford mortgage. I think it just depends what kind of job you get out of school.

29, 09 Z 6sp, got it used in January for $25k with 18k miles on it. I make the payments, and I have a mortgage and a civic.

Of those 136 between ages 15-20 who own the Z, about 95% of the votes belong to either "keep dreaming" or "keep trolling." =P

In Canada a 2012 370Z, Touring, Sport = $53,095.00 taxes incl., I paid $46,430.00 (VPP), after my down payment and paying it off in 18 months....so in my case its a hefty monthly payment v.s. over 60 months.

I'm 46 years old and own my house (mortgage / debt free), no woman or kids....so that's the only reason I can afford to own MY DREAM 2012 Z....

I just turned 27. I bought the Z just after I turned 25. Other than my Z car payment and house I am debt free with 30k in my savings. I have never left a balance on a credit card (I pay the full balance every time).

My mortgage (which includes property taxes and insurance) is near $1900/month. My 370 with it 3% interest loan runs me around $500/month. No where near another mortgage payment LOL...

amusez34 05-21-2012 11:22 PM

19 and im paying it by myself :D

25 and purchasing a 40th next week. This is my second Z, my first (still own) is a 71' 240z restored over 5 years. Work two jobs as an X-ray tech. Parents retired and moved to the Philippines and left me the house to take care of.

Excited and nervous about buying a z, this is my first big purchase and biggest present to myself. Good way to build my credit I guess.

Crazy how many 21 - 25 somethings that own a Z. I'm not mad about this fact! I think it's awesome so many owners work their *** off for the car.

I'm 32 btw.

 its really what a college education can get you! graduated last year from a city college. Because its a fraction of what a university cost for tuition, I graduated with no loans out of the radiology program and is making double what my girlfriend is. And she graduated with a BA and is burried in $20k worth of school loans. If I was in her situation I wouldnt even consider buying a Z.

Magic Bus 05-23-2012 07:35 PM

To all you young owners out there, working hard to pay for your Z.....Congrats! Bought my first Z, on my own at age 22 (in 1980, a used '76 280Z), think I paid about $5,000 for it.

Well the 280Z got me a cute girlfriend, who became my wife, who became the mother of my 2 children (O.o bye bye Z) and my partner in paying for the mortgage on a nice house. But alas, mortgage is almost done and one kid is done with college and the 2nd almost there. So that cute girlfriend said it's okay to buy another Z (2013 on order).

My advice to you young people out there, work hard, enjoy your Z and if you have to part with it for the greater good? Do it and keep working hard, for the Z will come back to you!

homeryansta 05-23-2012 07:38 PM

very envious of the 15-20 with enough cash to strap to a Z.

ZMan8 05-23-2012 08:54 PM

:iagree: with all the above on a college graduation puts you in a good position to get a Z. Worked for me as well.

NitrousZ34 05-25-2012 02:11 AM

How many years is many? LOL. Child labor much? or just straight up hustling :shakes head:

I bought this car as a 'gift' to myself because I had just finished paying off all my undergraduate student loans at the time. I just LOVE being in debt and paying bills

/sarcasm.

Magic Bus 05-26-2012 04:56 PM

enkei2k, congrats on paying off your student loans! Enjoy your Z and hope your debts will be smaller in the future :)
