The real poll is for owners who own a Z and visit this website... Instantly skewing the results. I would have been more surprised if the results were different.
Also, just about anyone can buy one with a loan, but it doesn't mean anything about their financial responsibility. |
Ehhh, you need decent credit to finance $40k... and make $700/mo car payments.
|
23 now, bought it when I was 22, 6 months after graduating college. Only financed $13k of the $35k otd price. Been saving/waiting for this car for a long time

I'm 23, bought mine brand new in February. Basically traded in my '10 Altima since i just couldn't handle the lack of power anymore lol.
|
Bought my 350 shortly after turning 17 (Co-signed with my pops). Then I bought my 370z when I was 21 (and out of college). Will be turning 23 soon and am still much in love with the Z car.

|
21 now, bought my Z when i was 20...25k down payment....finished paying the 9k loan off in 7 months :).....like others have said, its easier to save up money when you live at home and have generous parents that don't make you pay rent, college and other bills...love them with all my heart and am very thankful.:happydance:

I will be 65 in two months. I don't think I am the oldest. This is my 4th Z: 87 300ZX; 05 350Z; and 07 350Z. Bought them all with money I could have left my kids when I die!

I'm 23, I JUST bought my 2012 370 two months ago.. this is my fifth Z car, I got the itch back in my junior year for a Z, I was fully consumed in my Sti addiction however I got sick of not being able to pull the same **** my friends were in their 240SX's and pulling the e-brake one click and reverting all the power to the back diff could only do so much for me. I traded a friend for a 2005 350Z 6SM and was hooked. I never cared for the massive power difference between the Z and STi. Then after a year and 13k later a drunk diver thought my car was an open gap for him to shoot. He was wrong. Then I stumbled onto a 92 TT swapped 300ZX 5SM. OMFG:happydance: Dumped another 14k in her till so jolly green giant didn't know the rules to a four way stop. And again one of my beautiful Z's was totaled. Soon after a friend was selling his 2007 350Z 6SM w/ nismo exhaust, brembo's w/ rotors I still have yet to identify(they were very nice though). Economy got worse so I gave in and sold it after a year. barely spent a grand on it, had a very nice guy in AZ how traded and sold Z parts from his house so I traded and haggled a bunch of bolt ons from him.
:stirthepot: Now i own a 1971 240Z 4SM and a 2012 370Z 6SM. Still can't believe the difference the 370Z presents to all it's predecessors. Nissan really stepped it up on the new VQ. I did buy the base model(not all of us guys in our early 20's had daddy buy our cars), however I found a 2011 used diff with about 3k on it for $200, installed for $350. Screw the dealer trying to make me spend over 3k for a new diff. All in all the poll shows most of us are early 20's, let's big it up for all us blue collar guys who bust their *** to keep up with this addiction and way of life!! |
I'll turn 59 in a couple of months, about the time my F1 CBE gets installed....I'm # 528.
This car is more fun than by C6 vette. |
All the 21-30 year olds (top poll results) must not have a mortgage payment, cause to own a 2012 Z is a mortgage payment in itself.......or their mommy and daddy bought it for them....jk....or they just graduated from medical school....lol
In Canada a 2012 370Z, Touring, Sport = $53,095.00 taxes incl., I paid $46,430.00 (VPP), after my down payment and paying it off in 18 months....so in my case its a hefty monthly payment v.s. over 60 months. I'm 46 years old and own my house (mortgage / debt free), no woman or kids....so that's the only reason I can afford to own MY DREAM 2012 Z.... |
