Looking to be a 370Z owner. It will happen at age 25 or 26, depending on when I find someone who has a car I want in stock within road-tripping distance, or who will dealer-trade.

TeP0t 01-03-2012 02:54 AM

25. Just bought my first Z

pady999 01-03-2012 03:53 AM

Im 20 come spring time i'll be looking to purchase. I saw a post asking how people my age can afford one and that is usually we live at home and don't have to pay rent/mortgage. I got in a company that makes stages for big artists like metallica, lady gaga, U2 as a tig welder and there is crazy overtime all the time so ive been working 50-60hrs a week while being a full time student. It adds up fast when there are little bills.

DLSTR 01-03-2012 05:04 AM

48 -(now) and when purchased

One of many sportscars/GT's in my history: new Z-28 at 18, Alfetta Gt 1976(restored it), GTI, 2 Corvette's, 318is, 86 Lotus Turbo Esprit, 3-liter Alfa GTV6 94 Lotus Esprit S4, Cooper-S, S-model Audi etc.

This is a great car! As much fun as anything else Ive owned/driven. Glad to see a mix of ages in the poll.

Good on you! Yep, it's all about shaking the right hand when you are young, I believe.

54 yrs old, it was my retirement gift to myself that I saved my butt off to pay cash for so I could retire and have no car payments. :happydance:

54...figured I would be in a small demographic group (currently at 3.74%) but was surprised to see twice as many in the group past 55. Interesting there is also twice as many in the group before as well.

Going to be 56 in March. Widowed empty nester. This Z is mid-life crisis number 370. When my wife pasted away. Everybody asked me when am I going to get a sports car. I said it's going to be awhile. While it was 7 months to the day. LOL Growing up, had a couple of 426 Hemi's, a 440 6 Six Pack, couple of Trans Ams (455 SD + 6.6) and a bunch of motorcycles. Retirement is 6 years or less. Depends on how well I do in the stock market.

Glad you're dealing well with your loss, though.

Thank you. It was tough. You find out how short life can be at times. Here today, then gone in a few minutes. With that lesson, I want to make the most of what time I have left. My daughter is a big help. She tries to keep me from going overboard on some of the things I do. My bucket list. LOL She says it tough trying to raise a single parent. LOL

Now that my kids are 16 and 15, no more mini vans, I will let them drive the old Accord and I now have my Z.

Amen to that!

I think the Z has a very broad age appeal. The 240Z came out in 1970 so anyone born early/mid 50's who dreamed about getting a Z while they're in high school or college may think about finally getting a Z they loved when they were teenagers. I'm 50 and had a '83 280ZX and a '93 300ZX before I got my 40th Anniversary 370Z. It reminded me of the first generation Z's so I got it for sentimental reasons.

Da.Menace 01-05-2012 09:28 PM

I'm 6 years old, literally. :)

Zeek 01-05-2012 10:53 PM

Turned 74 last November. On warm summer days it's a toss up whether to drive the 370Z or jump on the 09 Harley Dyna Low Rider for a day in the wind.

I'm 23 this year and I'm glad that Z is loved by every ages! :)

SE 01-11-2012 03:49 AM

We see plenty of 21-30 year olds bringing us their 370z to work on . :)

bigsix 01-11-2012 05:34 AM

I'm 23, but can't afford a 370z yet.

It is a car I'd like to own in the near future. coupe, nismo, or roadster .?.?...

keb370z 01-11-2012 09:07 AM

I'm 32. All my previous cars were used VWs. Once I could finally afford a new car, I test drove the new GTI and told the VW dealer to put me on the waiting list for the new R (R32). But the wait was too long. I thought, screw it, I'm going all out. The Nissan dealer was next door. And the rest is history.

People told me I was crazy to buy a two seater with a 2 year old and a 4 month old. I say they're crazy not to! :happydance:

I've always loved the Z, it was just never attainable before my 30s. I don't know how you 20 year olds do it.

Vertigo 01-11-2012 12:52 PM

29, first Z

Aizen Sosuke 01-11-2012 02:05 PM

I'm 27 and just got my 09 base sport 6spd. I love this car it reminds me a lot of my 91' 240SX which brought me a ton of great times.

01-11-2012 04:14 PM

I got my first z when i was 16yr old it was a 05 350z now i got a 10 370z when i was 23 and i love it....

370ZilverZ 01-12-2012 10:13 AM

nismochiq 05-09-2012 04:21 PM

23 I bought my first nismo when I was 21

FairladyZ 05-09-2012 04:32 PM

26 , bought it myself 3 weeks ago.

I think NIssan missed their target on this one lol...

I could of swore i read somewhere this car was targeted for 30-45+ y/o bracket.

20's seem to be the majority

DarkJak 05-09-2012 06:20 PM

Could be skewed since younger people are more likely to use the internet and reply to the poll.

Just by what I see, most people I see driving 370Z's around here look to be in their 30's. But the 370's I see are few and far in between.
