Age is irrelevant...I am not my age...I play video games every day -working on bloodborne right now, work out 6 days a week (still weight what I did in college) , work on cars daily, swear like a sailor, listen to alternative rock, look 35 act 25....but I am 50. I know guys who are 30 who look and act older than me ...you get old when you get serious and care about everything...fug age.

it doesn't mean to be irresponsible with money and be a total dummy, but means to enjoy everyday, laugh at yourself, take care of yourself and most importantly, have fun. And lots of it. I dread the day I get "old". It hopefully won't happen until I'm 80. :D |

Live your life like today is the last day on earth.
Im not talking about spending money of course. |
58 going on 100, the Z was the car I wanted to drive off when I retired but got it a bit early so I will not have any payments after I leave my job, great move since I love the adrenaline I get when I drive it......

31. Bought my '17 base last July. Always been a gearhead, and the 350Z was one of the first import cars that I truly loved. Once I got a real adult job, the Harley bug bit me really bad; spent the last 7 years or so building and riding Harley's. Was in getting my Pathfinder serviced and my sales rep caught me eyeballing the Z on the showroom floor and convinced me to take one for a test drive. Sold my Harley and never looked back.
|
My Z was a slightly early 38th Birthday present to myself. The previous year, I bought myself a CBR600RR for my 37th. I think I'm going to be hard pressed to come up with something for my 39th.

I'm turning 29 this coming Tuesday. Bought my Z a couple months ago.
|
Bought my Z when I was 37. I think it's the best all round sports car out there even though it lacks some things I want. It's either this or a Ferrari 488. I can afford this though.... lol :rofl2:
|
Bought my Z at 31. Fun to drive.
|
49 thinking about a silver 17. Sold my 05 GTO a few weeks back.

Maybe this poll can be erased & start over fresh?
I only say this because so many members have come & gone. |
51, 5th Z but 1st 370. I've owned 3 240's and the recently deceased 300zxtt.

Will you still need me?
Will you still feed me? When I'm sixty four (in a couple of weeks time). Lyrics courtesy of The Beatles - (they were a well known pop group, back in the 1960's) Old person's joke coming up... I went to the doctor today and he told me I've got cancer and alzheimers. But at least I don't have cancer. ...or alzheimers. |
Well, I'm new to this forum and to the Z .... but I'm 45 (married with kids).
The poll didn't surprise me too much that these cars are most popular with the 20 and 30-something crowd. (Hey, I was interested in the Z cars pretty much that whole time in my life, too.) But it's good to see as many "outliers" in age as there are. Someone already accused me of buying a "boy racer" car (in other words, a car I'm supposed to be too old or mature to be driving around). I really don't believe such a thing exists. ANY car sold from the factory is a reasonable option for people of all ages who might want to drive. You might do a bunch of things to modify your car that make it obvious you're a younger driver -- but that's on each individual. I don't think I'll ever put big fire-breathing dragons down the sides of my car, for example. That would have been a lot "cooler" to drive around when I was in my early 20's ... and not so much if I have to take a co-worker in the office someplace. |
When you think about it, Nissan have done very well to design a car that appeals to such a wide demographic. From the age of 9 to the age of 90, people love it.
|
I got this car when I was just about to turn 40. My modded GTI was starting to breakdown and stumbled across a used one and decided - I would at least try it for a year. 6mo after owning it - I realized I probably should have bought a newer/lower mileage Z but this car keeps a smile on my face so no complaints. Between the looks, the handling and the decent performance - it's definitely a fun ride that I want to keep for awhile.

I was 42 when i found a 2009 touring non sport used with 5k miles. Snagged it, added quaife lsd and bolt ons been happy with it going on 5 years now. No problems running strong still at 105k.
