I think what he was asking is could you see the dent in all of the security cameras at the car wash or did it appear midway through the process? Just because you don't actually see it get created doesn't mean you can't prove to the owner that it happened during the process. Wonder if they still have the footage because I'd start with the first shot of it going in.

Me personally, I would've taken someone's life at the car wash first then calmed down and watched the footage.

I would take it to a PDR place, from the looks of it, may be too big of a dent for a PDR fix.

You can remove the interior hatch plastic and push it out and see how it looks, then take it to a PDR if its still messed up.

Ahh...that makes sense. Actually, the footage showed that after I got out of the car and while the car was being vacummed, no one approached that part of the car, much less leaned against it. As it was being pulled into the wash bay you could clearly see that the dent was already there.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. All you people out there that say DIY are pretty brave. There's no way I would screw with this myself!

The idea that I've gotten so far is that for a dent that size, PDR is going to cost anywhere from $200-$250. Also, there's a good chance that the damage would still be slightly noticable. Going the traditional bodyshop route is going to run me about $400, with the guarantee that the repair will look perfect. That being the case, it looks like I'm off to the bodyshop.

Honestly, it looks as if somebody hit a homer. Was there a baseball lying next to your car?

That's exactly what I thought at first - I think a ball striking the car would've left some sort of scuff though - if that was the only ball they had, they may have retrieved it and kept on playing.

I agree with Kenchan, The only thing that could make this worse, is if you made it worse. Whatever the Dent Dr. can do, he'll at least do it right the first time. His suction devices are smaller and more controllable... Far different than using dish soap and a toilet plunger.

Good luck... Guess on cost if Dent Dr can't fix it, meaning I am guessing at the quote you already got from a shop is $650 - $750
