just get the car that makes more sense to you. my Z is my hobby car and therefore 6MT and base + sports package with no extra crappage onboard, just the way i like it.
Let's PLEASE not turn this into an AT v MT discussion.

I sad it doesn't matter because, for purposes of this poll, it truly doesn't matter since I am equally happy with either.

If you really want to start another bovine scatology argument about how true enthusiasts only drive manuals feel free; just do it in your own thread.

wat i dont get is why you are starting a thread and poll when it already appears like you have a 370z Touring Roaster 7AT.

your sig:

are you trying to get re-confirmation that you made the right choice? if so only you can determine that. if you're happy with your roaster AT machine why start another poll? hummm...maybe you made a mistake? i dont know.

With regards to modern (350 and 370) Z's I've had three coups and two roadsters. I pretty much like both body styles equally although for slightly different reasons.

Most of my performance/sports cars have been T-tops (my first T-Top was the first car to ever have a factory T-top; a 1976 50th Anniversary edition TransAM); for me; T-tops are about the best of both worlds; but I digress.

I"m about to order a replacement for my current roadster and I'm curious about what some folks think among the choices I've narrowed my selection down to...the G37 drop top wasn't available this time last year but it's in the mix now.

how about you go the extra mile and look at the p-car? cause even if you get the G37 drop top, about a year or so from now you're going to be like... man, i needed to have included a higher performance car in my poll.

dont bs around and just get the best you can get and be done with it... be cheaper that way for you probably.

Obviously, the purpose of my thread has escaped you.

I get two new vehicles every year and while I appreciate your concern for my financial health, the concern is unnecessary.

There's actually a lot of highly enthusiastic "non-enthusiasts" on here then, buddy...

To the OP: Unless you really like 'verts, the coupe is always going to be less of a hassle for a DD (no need to put top up/down, no fear of mechanism failing, cloth ripping, etc.).

Also, cost more, weigh more, and generally more to insure...

Nothing against convertables, mind you...

When it's 101 degrees, 99% humidity, and a cloudless sky at. say, 3PM; my enthusiasm for a convertible wanes a bit. However, in the early morning or at night before/after the heat of the day or on a crisp fall morning or a spring day, it's difficult to match the enjoyment of a drop top!

Oh, agreed! But that means the fun of having the top down is worth the little bit of extra hassle for you --- not everybody wants to deal that, which is all I was saying.

As for me, I'd love a convertable hard-top or t-tops -- best of both worlds

I voted for the roadster because that's what I bought. I wanted a convertible. That was my primary reason for buying a car right now. Here in Phoenix I can leave the top down most of the time. In the 2 months I've had the car, I've only put it up when taking my wife to dinner some Saturday nights. Each person has to decide for themselves whether that is worth the extra cost, possibility of problems with the mechanism, lack of security when parked and all. It is for me. And I don't consider it to be "uglier."
