How hard is it to steal a 370z?

Nissan security system is the most advanced of all stock alarms. As far as hotwiring your car? It would be extremely difficult. Even if they knew how it would take

Nissan security system is the most advanced of all stock alarms. As far as hotwiring your car? It would be extremely difficult. Even if they knew how it would take too long to bother. But there are no suspension sensors. So stealing your car wheels would be easy. Also there's some kinda trick with magnets they do to shut off alarms. So they can steal your whole interior. Seats gauges, pull the motor right out of the hood.
But your chassis will stay right there. You kno why? The computer kill switch will make sure that they never start the car. But when there's a will there's a way. A well financed car thief ring would just tow it without attracting too much attention.
So just make sure you have insurance and enjoy your car without paranoia of thievery. Just take normal precautions. Don't park on dead streets. Don't park in a solitary area. A lot of people do that so the car won't get scratched but it makes it a total mark for thieves. Trust me. I know a few ex-car thieves.
Sport package will be a target cuz the rim and tires alone are worth 3k. The nismo almost 5k. The brake kits are the new hot item. So expect more thievery this summer. Also the bose head units sell pretty
well. You got alota guys out there that bought base and for $1,000 to 1,500 can get YOUR touring packages. Lol. That sux.

really?

In Australia Nissan car's generally get low scores for security... Subaru get high scores... so i always thought it was a simple system that Nissan used...

in the end if people steal these cars here, they just load on the back of a truck and drive off and deal with the system later...

Here in the U.S. the nissans have a 3 stage kill switch. Once the alrm goes off fuel line cuts off and ignition power is cut off and battery sets to aux power. So basically you need a tow truck.

This^^

That is how someone would steel a Z, or most modern cars for that matter.

Like others have said, if you're worried about interior contents or your wheels, get an alarm, otherwise save your money.

As far as I'm concerned, if someone steels my car, I don't want it back. I would rather get a cheque from the insurance company and buy a new, new/used car.

It's not bad during the day. Trouble is, we like to go to Black Angus for Saturday night dinner now and then. Have for twenty years. They keep closing them and that's the only one left anywhere near us. When we first decided to go there last year I went to check it out. Went in the mall to get some Cinabons while I was there. I asked the girl at the counter if the auto theft problems were as bad as I heard. She said her car was stolen the month before on a Tuesday afternoon. At least two of the employees at the restaurant have had their cars stolen.

Could the present problems have anything to do with the "illegal alien" issue?

My brother had owned a home and some other properties in the Mesa area and finally left. He said Phoenix area was booming back when alot of CA folks sold off the properties and moved to the AZ area to build new for less. He thought the sad part of this boom was the less than desirables that could not afford CA also came during the migration east. He said the crime was on the rise and he sold everything and left the area. At that time he said he made really good money for his properties etc.
