What'd I do with Zena.... Took her for a short spirited errand drive to Thiesen's to get some cable ties (in the event I need to put front plates on). I park up front and the I see a bunch of Thiesen's workers come out and stand by the door, pretending to look somewhere else. Then as I go to another entrance, they are all checking out my car. I felt like a damn celebrity...... lol.... all that for just merely driving a Nissan. :D Gotta love the Z and the styling.

Then I got home, let it sit a bit, then checked the oil again (checked it before I drove too), and all is still normal, with no burning, 100 miles since this weekend. Whew.... (still knocking on wood)

Sounds like fun, G2Z! yah just keep checking the oil every other time you drive and check while the engine is cold. :)

^ makes me wonder...... will my oil level GO DOWN from me merely checking my dipstick!?!?!?! LOL. That would give me false info.... hehe...

I probably checked it like 20 times already since end of last week........ :ugh:

Dang. 15k? Wow... You go Luna.... Were those 15k miles normal driving? Or aggressive plus track use?

No track time, but quite a bit of spirited VDC-off driving. I have a tendency to get on the power early on corner exit. Habit from driving turbos, smaller engine cars and bikes

How's everyone's RE-11's holding up?

Yeah, that's what I figure. Also, I check oil before (cold) and after it sits 30mins to an hour after driving (warm).

Sounds great Beach. Good luck with that. BTW, when/if I install swift springs, to I have to get everything readjusted/aligned???

Luna, what are your thoughts on other tires? I'm sure you cross shopped before zeroing in on the RE11s? Like what do you think about the Dunlop Star Specs, or Yokoham Neova's, or my favorites are the Toyo Proxes and GYear F1 Supercar....

hahaha, :D it would eventually affect reading but make sure to check each time while the engine is cold. that will give you a better reference as oil will drip back down to the pan.

this is why i think people (not you G2Z) checking oil while getting gas imho is not the brightest idea...

Yeah my stockies were completely bald in the rear by 20,000. Like wire showing bald. Would love RE-11s but saved some cash and went Hankook V12, which I like for the price. Im very impressed w the wet handling especially after hitting some huge puddles during a rain storm Monday. Dry traction could be better but for the price I cant complain. Hoping to get at least 30k outta the rears this time around.

Kewl Ken. Now I don't have to worry about swapping mine out LOL.

Star specs are amazing but don't come in 19s.

I think the re11s win against the neovas for most people's use
