Nice! So 285's fit just fine over the OEM sports wheels??? They don't overhang too bad?

they fit perfect. The tire just looks meaty

Damn that looks great, those are the exact sizes I was thinking about. Where did you buy the tires from? I'm sure the RE-11s must feel amazing and offer a huge amount of grip!

Bought at a tire place in Ktown. $1220 otd
Lmk if you need the info

Thx Juruki.

I was just worried that the "meat" would stick out too far and over the rim. Also, theoretically, wouldn't handling be affected somewhat? (though maybe miniscule), since now you would have more "give" and "flex" in the tire, not supported by the rim??? granted it's only 10mm.....

So my wife was playing with him as I was doing dishes, and I hear him say loudly to her "No MAMA!!! That's Daddy's car!!!", as I see him take the car away from his mom.

HAHA.... nothing like a protective son....esp when it comes to cars. :icon18:

lol! man, i wish my kids were into cars. older kid's into construction equipment (dozers, excavators, etc. etc), littler one's into trains. they have a lot of hotwheels and tomica cars but they still prefer their thing.

where did the car blood go? :ugh2: when i was little i remember playing with cars all the time. jets and tanks were cool but cars was always my thing.

Need details on how this ding came about. Front or rear? plus, I hope you are planning to get that fixed?

and yeah no doubt, you are "focused" (pun intended) on figuring out how to shoot great pictures on your DSLR. ;)

btw, for those of you thinking my leather bra is on the whole time, that's just on during a long highway jaunt... although, I am warming up to the idea that the clear bra should suffice...

it was just a rock that a car before me kicked up. there were a lot of debris on the road so i kept good distance but this one came from the opposite lane so no time to dodge it. i did try though... no success. it's okay, it was bound to happen anyway. :D

Holy crap, I go to a meeting and there are two pages... I can't keep up. My head hurts. :eekdance: I will have to catch up later. Right now I need to figure out how to get the roadster in to the one place around that will mount my wheels. I had everything lined up over the weekend but parts/tires came later than expected. Hmmmm, need to take the afternoon off and go get the Xterra from the wife's work.

beach- make sure the place has a NO-TOUCH mounting machine. most place WILL damage your sport wheels during the removal and mounting process.

GL! :)

That would be great, I will need to get new tires by the end of the year for sure and that price is cheaper than my other choice which is the Yokohama AD08s. Great find!

Yeah Im pretty happy with what I got for them. Had em up for $1500. Got $1400. Felt kinda bad, sold them to a guy from Brooklyn who got his jacked. Felt like I was robbing him again but he seemed happy with the price. Got an appointment at the tuner next Tues for an alignment. This extra cash is tempting me to tell them to UpRev it.

+1 on the wheel sale. geeze.

kenchan 07-26-2011 12:32 PM

most ive seen on ebay that were in great condition were near $3k with tires....but that's a pretty rediculous price.

i think 1500 is about right but most folks will only offer 900-1000... so considering that, 1400 is

Amen! I am going to the same place that did my Works for the TT. I trust them and have sent several Zers there with good results. They do all the bling-bling twenty-fo's in the area. :shakes head:

Problem is that they are a hike for me and close at 6:00. I don't have time to get home and back there. Maybe tomorrow...
