How does the decorative part feel now Kenchan? It looks great! I'm really interested to hear of your driving opinions.

It feels smoother and no jagged edges. When I looked at mine very closely I could literally see tiny burrs. So I just rounded them off. The edge along both sides of the decorative stripe was kinda tricky and took my time. :D the knob felt real good.

Well after Xmas my Z was supposed to be off the road for the winter. Alas, here it sits in my work parking lot:tup: New deadline is by new years.

I love the lego store -- check out the $400.00 Star Destroyer. My kids are too big to justify the purchase.

Ooh, sushi! :yum:

My wife and I can EASILY put away $75 - $100 of it at a time! I HATE buffet-style sushi, and shake my head (:shakes head:) whenever I hear of someone partaking in such a travesty. Unless it's freshly made, with appropriatley proportioned ingredients and made well, I want no part of it. I like a lot of variety too! We usually order the chef's choice (and lots of it) so we're sure to get a fantastic variety. It's usually coined with some silly name like "the Love Boat", or "the Titanic" wherein they serve it on some monstrosity of a boat, which conveniently consumes your table.

Fire 12-27-2011 06:31 PM

Hopefully the Titanic doesn't sink enroute to table. Thankfully the sushi isn't to go. Just think what a month old piece would smell like if it fell under the seats. :barf:

:wtf2:

I don't even want to imagine. And of course that would happen right before going on an extended vaca to Europe, right?

Waiz 12-27-2011 09:46 PM

I got a little Z action in tonight driving home while my windshield was semi-defrosting and I could barely see :icon17:

Off to the gym soon in the next 45 mins :)

Finally "officially" away for the winter

My wife ended up giving birth early, the day before i planned to put her in storage. So mutual friend took the car to their garage and its been sitting there since Nov 30th

I finally got to clean her up, wax, and cover her up properly. I normally just disconnect the battery but friend suggested trickle charger, so doing that

I did one last start up and Rev :(

:)

Yup! thanks  Little man is almost 4 weeks old...

Time in the "Z" will be more precious next spring since we're now 3 and any place we go "together" gotta take the wife's wheels lol....booooo

kenchan 12-28-2011 11:37 AM

congrats, mr. and mrs. thegreatone!

regarding the trickle charger, i'd suggest you get one that has float mode like the BatteryTender sold at amazon. :) trickle chargers tend to over-charge and prematurely kills the battery. ive been using the battery tender (manager) for many years with much success. :D

Thanks! and thanks for the tip Mr. Kenchan

I'll definitely check with my buddy to see how the charger is set up...last thing I want is to get stranded sometime next summer

Hopped in the Z to pick up my new 24" IPS panel monitor that I ordered. So hard to find quality 1920x1200 resolution monitors now - I refuse to settle for cheap TN panels that render at 1080p. :p

Investr 12-29-2011 01:14 AM

We spent some quality time today. About a week-old and still unnamed though, it's definitely a boy though! My short antenna came in today and HE was so happy with that minor but effective upgrade. it was about 60 deg today and very sunny, so top was done for most. Just still getting to know one another. My boy is still a little hurt after getting traded in with just 5k miles. I am showing lots of love though, name to come soon.

SPOHN 12-29-2011 05:38 AM

Nice, congratulations on your new boy! In for pics! Hopefully you carry a series of them in your wallet, like all proud parents!

Sweet! Are you going to use the glossifier, or leave it flat black? I'll be keeping an eye on your journal! :)

kenchan 12-29-2011 09:10 AM

no Z action (she's under the cover) today... the other day after washing my G i noticed a tiny bit of one-step sealant left over from the last detail along the bottom curve of the rear bumper, so claybar'ed it off is am using SprayOn Wax as lube as it's cold outside and the clay is pretty stiff. :p looks perfect again.

i need to order more griot's mud (clay) next season for sure.
