Having Hotchkis sway bars and 15mm H&R DRS spacers installed today. I'll post up some pics tomorrow comparing the stock spacing vs. the 15mm spacing.

I'm so incredibly happy, I finally got my RE-11s installed and it made a world of difference to the car. It feels so much grippier and progressive at the limit, and the tires are much quieter than the RE050s. Also, in straight line acceleration the car hooks up much better with little to no traction loss in power shifts from 1st to 2nd. The last thing is the additional width helped close off some additional fender gap and the car looks so mean with that chunky tread!

I had the install done at Shoreline Motoring in Huntington Beach and they did a great job leaving no scratches on the wheels, bagging my old tires so I could bring them back and covering the interior to protect from them getting in and out of the car.

Your car looks great Christian.

HUGE turnout of Z's at Cars and Coffee this morning. It was awesome.

Afterwards, a group of us headed over to a local indoor go cart track for hot laps. Holy Crap was that fun! I'm going to be crippled tomorrow, but it was worth it.

It's a b1itch getting old, but I'm not going easy. :happydance:

Stopped by work for a couple of hours, but heading home now for the playoffs - Go Texans and Saints!

I had it pretty low with out the body kit on it and it was fine but now with the kit on it I raised it not quite as high as stock but I added .75in and still only have 3in under my front lip.:shakes head:

I had to return my order of those they work on my driveway,I'm just going to fill it in with concrete.

It was 55 deg here in Massachusetts today so I felt motivated to do one last wash & wax before it goes back down to 2 degrees.

Ready for snow. Downgraded to 18" Sport edition A7 wheels (cheap, for winter) and Blizzak LM-60 snow tires.

No swirls.. yay!!

was your 350Z running Brembos? my G is the last model year that ran the Brembo's on our cars and the rotors have decent amount of wear grooves but the thickness was fine so i just bedded the endless pads in around 23K miles. no issue and plan to run it until the pads wear out. I usually swap rotors every other time the pads wear out. my G is currently around 29K miles.

imho those places that charge for turning the rotors scare customers by showing them the wear grooves like it's some serious issue. unless my calipers ate a rock or something showing catastrophic grooves (which i would just replace the rotors anyway) i just ignore the normal wear grooves and bed new pads in, replace the rotor next time.

Good points and probably in my case it's cold weather and dust. Oem pads still have some miles left on them. Will pull the pads clean the calipers and use some BreakQuiet.

Non Brembos on both the 05 and 06 on the 350Z's, guess I was taken by the stealership when the pads had worn and they said Nissan does not recommend turning the rotors. So went with StopTech Stage 2 - slotted/ss/motul/ceramic pads out of Australia. They were a big improvement over stock, used BreakQuiet and no squeal, the pads just shedded a lot of red dust. This time I will go with your recommendation and unless a big rock tore up the rotor then just replace the pads and consider replacing the rotors next time. Thanks for advice!! :tiphat:

My pattern did not land perfectly, hence the locticte. Apply loctitie on the upper 3 threads, middle or bottom three threads of the shifter?

apply a decent amount of loctite on the shifter's threads on one side (dont need to put a huge amount), thread in the knob, get the pattern to your preferred angle, and let it dry over night. should work just fine. :)

i like my shift pattern slightly facing the driver side. :p

Thanks Mr. Kenchan :tiphat:

Installed a Sony headunit in my friend's new Nissan Versa.

Warm night so we took the Z out to dinner. If it's still warm in the morning, oil changes!
