"Fixed" my exhaust leak for the third time. This time I removed the gaskets and used red RTV only. Last time I re used the same gaskets with RTV and the RTV just blew out the flanges as I drove. I waited about 45min or so until I bolted the ART pipe back up do that the RTV could settle this time

Trimming down some branches that fell in my mom's backyard and dropped off the dog for grooming. About to go get some dim sum. After that, going to wash the z. It's been 3 weeks. This will be the first wash where the car is actually visually dirty and can use it. Previous ones were all just regularly scheduled washes, haha.

Bruce you didn't get the dim sum the same place as you dropped off your dog did you LOL see above post.

OK no more dog jokes from me. I just posted a new thread and would like everybodies comments. It is Car Show's do's and don'ts.

Bought a new laptop for my Z. Ha

Massive fail yesterday!

1) Washed the Z for a long time by being more thorough than normal, kept the radio on and drained the battery.

2) Called a friend who was able to jump the car and got it running, I closed the door with the engine on and the stupid car locked me out :owned:

Classic. I am laughing only because I did that once -- very long ago.

ouch! doesnt the door automatically unlock when you close it with key in?

The worst part was that I locked myself out of the car with the engine running :icon17:

Not on my 350z, it might have something to do with the battery being drained but I will just have to keep an eye on it in the future

did that in my old range rover once. waited over an hour for aaa and had just filled the gas tank :icon14:

Drove it for the last time in 2011. This coming week we will give it a good wipe down, check the fluids and put the cover on it. 3800 miles to date. Not bad for an 09.

It will stay nice and warm in the heated garage until mid April.

nice and shiny after the wash. noticed the front bumper is getting lots of little tiny dings from road debris though. Only noticeable when wiping it down or looking up close for it. Maybe I should have gotten clearbra just for the front bumper.

Nice to see all the clean Zs! I also washed mine, it was clean as of this past Wednesday but the strong winds we've been having made the car look horrendous in a matter of days with all the dust. I thought it would make for an interesting 50/50 when I washed it with ONR earlier today:

I know! It was crazy even out here in Malibu, I can only imagine what it was like inland or in the desert. I don't use a car cover since it causes more harm than good as dust will inevitably get blown under the cover, with the grit being ground into the paint by the cover.

I'd rather just keep the car well protected with sealant and clean it every week. :tup:

Yesterday the Z stayed parked because she's not so good at transporting me, a model, my assistant (the wife, LOL) and an assortment of camera junk, clothes, hair and makeup stuff.

no z action today. hooked up the yellow top again to the battery manager. friday it was only up to 8.4v, hope to get it up to 10v+ this week. :p then will need to do a load test... hummm... i dont have a load checker thingie.

Wanted to post his when it happened, but didnt have the time.

So last Thursday night we had my company Christmas party. It was actually really sweet, rented out the whole Air and Space Museum in Dulles VA. Anywho after leaving, my gf and I were in Jezzabelle driving home and once we were nearing coming back into town and the speed limit drops and were on a main road through the middle of town I noticed a black GTR pass on the other side of the road. Like I said its a 4 lane road (2 on each side) but its a smaller section of town so no median or anything. It was late, around 1130 on a Thursday so not much else was around.

So about 5 minutes after, I saw what I thought were his head lights in my side mirrors and slowed down to see if it was him. Sure enough it was, he had turned around to cruise with me for a bit. He was with a friend and was a middle aged guy. So I waved and talked with him at a light briefly. Cool guy and really cool to turn around.

Best part, his plates "Sik V6" right next to the handicap sign. Had the handicap drop tag too. Awesome lol

I've had a busy weekend!

The sway bars are by far one of the most noticeable suspension upgrades I have done. They really blew me away.
