I disagree entirely. It's an awesome road trip vehicle. 2k road trip last summer was awesome. It is very comfortable for the long haul.

I've made a few 1000 mile roadtrips in the Z and it's a great cruising vehicle. Seats are comfortable IMO and it's a smooth ride, even on Eibachs. You should enjoy it.

Stop and talk short walks around rest areas and you will be alright. 700 miles isn't that much! The Z is a pretty nice cruiser on good roads.

If you have a clear bra installed your good, but if not you may want to protect the front end with painters tape. my 2 cents

I drove back home over 600 miles after I picked up my Z...it's fun driving the open road...I took the backroads back to Houston after I landed in Lubbock to pick up my Z...drove straight home with 2 stops...driving the back open roads, I pretty much got to push the car to many limits...and if you ever want to learn how to better rev-match down-shifting (or heel-toe), you have plenty of time and road to do that...as long as you get out and stretch every so often, you should be ok....I have back problems, and that trip didn't bring on any pain to my lower back...

The wife and I drove my Z from Salt Lake City to San Diego and back last month. The Z did great - look forward to the road trip and enjoy it!

best advice I can give if you have any kind of back trouble, is to get a small pillow (i'm a fan of the memory foam) for the lumbar support, I actually use a neck pillow because the size is perfect for the lower back. That aside, the seats themselves are quite comfortable for long drives.

Glad to see generally good experiences. Can't wait! Don't have a clear bra, so I figure blue painters tape should do the job for time being. What cruising speed did you notice best mpg?? Should I be worried about Canadian law enforcement/speed traps, etc??

3000 mile round trip over a 6 day period last week, Omaha to Jacksonville, FL. (Buddy of mine was getting married.../michael jackson's "another one bites the dust" playing in the background. lol) 20 hours down, 22 hours back up (the rain in Missouri was horrific). Car did fine and I did fine. Stopped very minimally. Used the cruise control as often as I could and varied my leg position often. Got about 23 mpg on average, but I wasn't exactly going for fuel economy. I stayed between 85-90 mph and watched my radar detector and used Trapster the whole way. Fun trip, I'd do it again.

Just for reference, on my trip up to Ohio and back, with highway speeds varying from 65-85, I made over 500 miles on a tank between fill ups, does anyone else find this ridiculous for a 332 hp sports car? well i'm actually much higher than that now, which is even more of a surprise. Avg. MPG according to the HUD: 29
