Nissan DRM automanual is the eptiome of slushboxes. You can engine brake, get split second shifts. (Faster than manual. And when you get enough practice. You can really surpass manual performance. The only other advantage to manual is when modding, you cannot go past a certain horsepower without replacing the tranny. But like 95% of you, will never get passed 450rwhp so ur still good in a auto. Paddle shifting makes things happen quicker. Engine braking is superior in the auto. (the most important control feature imho) If you really want to feel true automanual performance. Try DCT on an M3, now going in the 135I. U say you would never do something without having any real experience. A 1 hour test drive does not let you know how capable this type of tranny is. As far as exotics going auto. Who's gonna drive a manual @ 240mph. That's a tragedy waiting to happen. Again ignorance at its finest. |
