I think sports cars in general get a bad safety rap because people think that in order to shed weight that structual integrity is sacrificed therefore making the car less

I think sports cars in general get a bad safety rap because people think that in order to shed weight that structual integrity is sacrificed therefore making the car less safe in an accident situation. Which is probably true to a certain extent... but I've seen some serious Z crashes and it appears that the "cockpit" of the car is usually untouched where as the front is completly smashed in.
With that being said... I still feel safe in my Z.
