I don't see it happening that fast. Nissan usual drops new motors in the Infiniti line before we see them in "regular" Nissans...for example, we saw the 3.7 in the G37 coupe before it made it to the Z. The 2011 Infiniti M still uses the 330-hp version of the 3.7 V6 (no DI or any other power bumps), so I'd be surprised to see any significant changes for the 2011 Z in the power department.
And you can forget ever seeing a V8 in the Z. That puts the car into a different segment altogether.
