Where's the torque??

Anyone here test driven the Evo X MR? I am NOT endorsing the car or anything but that 4 banger tubo felt surprisingly fast and torquier than the Z. I

I am NOT endorsing the car or anything but that 4 banger tubo felt surprisingly fast and torquier than the Z. I am thoroughly confused because I know the new Z should out perform the MR. I am starting to wonder if there was something wrong with the Z I test drove.
