Where's the torque??

The 335i has two sequential turbos. They spool up very quickly giving it such good low end torque. For a naturally aspirated 3.7V6 this car has a pretty flat torque curve, but I agree that a little more torque would be nice.

Absolutely right - you can't ever have enough power and torque

I guess it's a bit of unfair comparison but my old 335i had great low end torque and power delivery. I know it's hard to believe but I sold Viper GTS to get the 335 and really didn't miss Viper that much because the car felt THAT good.

I am positive that once you get on the Z, you will get similar performance of 335.

Lug

It will certainly outperform a 335. It just matches a 135 (basically a lighter version of of a 335 with the same power delivery) in Edmund's latest test. The 335 is better matched to the G37 in performance/weight/luxury.

The big question I have is will the 7AT perform as well as the manual. Can't wait to see some 1/4 / track times between the 2.

I've been hoping someone will test both the manual and auto at the same time since the numbers are all over the place already. Doubt I get my wish.
