Just finished my break-in period, does this engine not like to rev?

I agree, the engine sound up top makes you cringe when you get there for the first time. I have a little over 5k now and I don't know if

I have a little over 5k now and I don't know if I've just gotten used to it, but it feels smoother and stronger than when I first got it. I just got my HFC's and K&N drop ins and I hope to get them on this weekend. I hope these will help improve the sound and smoothness.
