I personally use the stick itself. I guess its because of it being a stick instead of pedals on the steering wheel.

Just for fun the stick, but if Im "passing" someone then the paddles as I think they shift faster. I cant confirm this but it just seems like it plus I can still have both hands on the wheel.

If I put it in Manual mode (which is, sadly, hardly ever..) I use the stick itself. I've only used the paddle shifters to show someone how they work.. For whatever reason I never drive with both hands on my wheel...even though I have tried. It seems like even when I'm just cruising around in Automatic, I have one hand on that gear shifter thing...I guess its a throwback to my stick shift days or maybe I "think" it makes me look faster when I'm driving it

I like the little click the stick makes when you shift. sounds kinda MTish.

I tend to drive with my right hand on the stick while steering with the left like I used to with the megane. good old days.

I would use the pedals if they were bigger. upshifting is no problem with downshifting with it feels odd. if they were bigger I could just use them with my steering position but I have to slightly drop my hands to use them. I know I can use my little finger but it just feel uncomfortable

I use the stick itself most times. I prefer the paddles but as a woman with smaller hands, it can be a reach to actually get to them.

Between this and the fact that the steering wheel doesn't telescope (women tend to have longer legs and shorter arms than men), I'm not sure it ever occured to Nissan that a woman might buy this car.

I love the exhaust sound when I downsift, especially from 4th to 3rd and 3rd to 2nd.

I have used both from time to time, at the track at least the 1/4 mile part i use the paddles it just feels like it's faster. But just cruising i also do the one hand on the wheel and the other on the stick shifter. I like the fact that there is no need to put it in to MT mode to use to paddles just hit it and go shifting up or down.

Hate the stick, paddles only! With intakes, HFCs, and exhaust, downshifting with the AT in this car is the best consolation prize ever for not speeding!

I don't think I have mastered the art of the manual downshifting with this car yet..which is strange, because I've driven manuals off and on since the 80s'..but it seems like whenever I try to do the manual downshifting thing ..It ends up giving me this big ole engine roar and then the other people in the cars around me just turn around and look over at me and I feel like they probably think I accidentally mis-shifted into neutral. I assume I'm downshifting too soon (RPMS too high) but I try to watch that and it still does it. So now I just shift up and tend to forget about downshifting manually and just let the car do it for me. I'm getting old.
