First time I read this, I thought you meant they left you $1600. Then I re-read it. That sucks! It really costs that much!???

I'm sure it does.....don't damage your bumper, fender, headlight assembly, drivers side door, & mirror.......that'll run ya just under $5,000 to fix.

Happened back in late December. Going to AAM to get the RE-11's taken off and the stockies put back on because.....shocker, so I don't get in an accident during the winter. It was raining really bad that morning and the tires gave way and next thing I knew I had crossed the double yellow and as I was adjusting back over a dang median snuck up on me. It's repaired and all better now! (And seriously....$4975 to repair that damage)

I hear the OP on this one to a degree, I'm kind of the same way. As much as you know it's eventually going to happen, it's always tough to accept those scratches, scrapes, and nicks that you get along the way.

you guys make it sound like you don't care about scratches and stuff but suppose you are buying a used 370z, i am pretty sure all of you would care and would pay less for one that is not perfect

No one said they don't care, quite the opposite. I think most people just accept that it's part of life.

Another great option is to buy used. That goes a long way to relieving "perfect new car" axiety. It can be a blessing if you have that particular problem. Most every day dings can't be seen from 10 feet away, so you know it's there because you polish it every week, but nobody else can see it.

even if they do see it, they don't care because it's not their car
