dyno machine

Anybody familiar with this type? Does it read low or need to calibrate more often, fan placement important? How compares to mustang dyno? THANKS DYNOJET22x -- WinPep8 Software

All dyno's will read differently. Even from the same manufacturer. Different weather conditions with the same dyno will read different.

Mustang dyno's are known as heart breakers when compared to DynoJet's. They read lower. A Mustang dyno puts the car under a load, which reduces the actual horsepower and torque level output. A DynoJet isn't under a load, so the horsepower and torque numbers are higher.

There are different ways each manufacturer measure HP and torque. Also, it's how they do their calculations. There is a lot more to this. Google is your friend.

Find a dyno that has rolling resistance using an eddy brake. An eddy brake simulates rolling resistance like a road, with out that you risk the chance of blowing your engine up.
