This thread would likely help someone thinking of getting a Z, since we debunk comments like snap oversteer or the vague on center steering mentioned in the review. If we were to subtract all the silly comments and name calling the thread would be fine. Staying on topic a good thing
I actually find the on-centre feel a bit vague too. The whole chassis set up on the car stock is a bit... uhhhh safe? It's like Nissan is afraid of selling a car with 300 hp without awd, they think all their customers are going to wrap it around a pole on the way home from the dealership.

But then why undersize the front tires? Prevent tramlining I guess?

Nothing that can't be solved in the aftermarket, but it's not wrong to point this stuff out in a review.

Hmm; I can agree its there but man its minor; to the point where I suspect its just stock tires. For this reason I plan to get a well respected tire like the PS4 next cycle, even thou they can empty the wallet. Overall the steering is sharp to me, its moves when I want it to move. Maybe it take track time to really understand what meant by vague on center, which I don't have

Im cool with that but threads can be like amazon reviews. One guys hate its, the other guy luvs it. Which is it? I've seen vid where the Z is considered fast, other say its quick but not fast and then someone go on to say its way down on power, ie slow. Same with threads. What do you do (or what do I do), you read them all and look for the trend.

I agree with most of the points made, especially about purchasing used to save money. I think Nissan really missed the boat by not putting a Stillen supercharger on the Nismo or at least making customers aware that it can be installed as a dealer option. Even with the crap Stillen tune, if they had a 500ish hp version I think they would breath a little life into a dying platform. And if they didn’t want to go through the trouble of that why not have some sort of special edition with a supercharger on it? Dumb *** Nissan thought putting ski tracks on it was a better idea?
