For you, the sports package wasn't worth it. You made modifications to the elements that you felt were most worthwhile and saved some money. Well done.

The fact still remains that the sports packages is an objectively excellent value for the performance upgrades over the base model. This is clear when you compare it to equivalent modifications and not just discount half the upgrades because you don't find them worthwhile.

You have no basis for arguing that your setup is better when you don't have all the sport package parts installed. Apples to oranges. 6MT w/ rev-match > 6MT w/o rev-match. Period. Regardless of whether you find the feature useful or not.

As someone who can heel toe I can understand why the “purists” think the rev match feature is silly. Personally I love it! If I ever feel the need to heel toe, I can turn it off. Problem solved.

Jeez, it’s not like manually shifting an automatic!

(running and ducking!)

Hahaha well said sir. If purists want to be so pure they should be driving Model T's and dying of tuberculosis. It always annoys me when people, instead of celebrating technological advances that allow more humans to partake in what they enjoy, start shrieking "unclean!"

That being said, paddle-shifting is for bitches.

Exactly, I figured it’s better to have and not need/want than to need/want and not have.

But but....what about the GTR???? lol

I went from an auto to a manual Z, and those paddle shifters were actually fun.

I’m surprised no one’s b*tched about the other features:

1. Keyless start - nope I like to crank start the car like said model t’s
2. Keyless entry - nope I like to manually put the key in and unlock
3. Bluetooth - nope I like to use my hands to talk
4. Gas pedal - nope I like to Freddy-Flintstone it by using my feet to go
5. Brake pedal - nope I like to Freddy-Flintstone this too by using my feet to stop
6. VVEL - nope I’ll just pedal with my feet faster from the get-go
7. Oil Temp Gauge - nope, don’t need oil when using my feet
8. Clock Gauge - nope I’ll just use my sundial
9. Gas Gauge - nope don’t need to use gas when Freddy-Flintstoning it
10. TPMS - nope I’ll rely on the calluses on my feet to conquer any debris
11. Sports package - nope I’ll manually buy some of the parts and install, and tell others my base is better than their upgraded model
