Went to the Toyota Stealership & picked up “Toyota” oil (0w16) & “Toyota” oil filter w/new crush washer.......”Made in China” written on filter
oh well, 6yrs or 120k miles....that’s what’s going back on it ![]()

Bobistheoilguy is your friend on this topic, people have cut open various filters, discuss the designs and build qualities (material of the filter elements, bypass valves designs, etc etc etc)

there is NO way I'd put anything other than a backup camera on my Z from EBay. Like another poster said, oil filter is cheap, an engine is expensive. I always assume anything that's a commodity item on EBay, and lately Amazon, is counterfeit; especially something as easy to make as an oil filter. Even oil can be resealed/replaced with garbage oil with the original removed.
Buyer Beware is even more valid now than ever before. I buy my filters from the stealership. |

I don't want to appear insulting, but why would one even look for an oil filter on ebay? They aren't expensive. About the only thing I buy off ebay are old F1 t-shirts.
