Default Ripped off by Jay at EVO-R

Update: Jay has got in contact with me and said he would send me a full refund. I’m glad he did the right thing. He took a very long time to respond but In the end I’m not mad at Jay. It seemed to be a problem with his manufacturing. I don’t think Jay actually makes the product he just sells it on their behalf. Thank you Jay.





UPDATE 08/06/18: Here we go again. Received my spoiler and there is chips all over the right side of the wing. He at least sent me a spoiler with threads this time, but after inspecting the threads I’ll have to clean them out thoroughly to get anything to thread into it. Clear coat and dirt are not allowing me to thread anything into it. After some elbow grease i should be able to get it. I’ll add a picture of all the cracks. Really disappointing as I’ve been waiting 5 weeks for two pieces of garbage. I’ll contact Jay, but at this point I’ll be going through my credit card company.

Edit: the seller has contacted me. Hopefully he will do the right thing. We will see in a week or two.

I’ve read the horror stories about Jay and his company before purchasing from him so in the end i guess it is my fault. I decided to try and do busniness with him anyways. I ordered a carbon fiber Nismo high wing, just the carbon fiber part. My carbon fiber piece i had before was really messed up. He sends me a product that is damaged and I immediately email him with pictures. He tells me that he can send me a new one in 4 weeks or give me a partial refund. I said okay I’ll wait for a new spoiler but what should I do with the one that is chipped. He never replied. After about 9 emails over a 3 week period with no response I’m fully convinced hes screwing me over.
After further inspecting the item he sent there are scuffs all over it and there is no way those scratches are from the shipping company. The threads that the carbon fiber piece screws on to are missing, and there’s like 5 holes just randomly drilled into it. It will not go on with the previous hardware i had, he didn’t even thread it for me.

Jay, do the right thing and send me what I paid for and I have no problem with you.

I’ve contacted my credit card company to try and get my money back . Don’t do business with him.

I ordered a rear diffuser off his website a few months ago. I got my Paypal receipt but no confirmation from him. I sent him a PM through this forum and he replied and said he would look into my order. I never heard back from him but my diffuser showed up about a week later.

His communication skills suck!

Sorry about the bad experience, But like you said you knew better and still went ahead.

I don't know what my help can do this late in the game, But I've reached out to him for at least a response.

It's a hit an miss with this vendor

Here we go again...if you are interested in purchasing EVO R products from what I have seen you will have better luck ordering from one of there preferred vendors. I also have seen from others experience it can be hit or miss with them.

Finally got a response this morning. He said he’s been very busy lately. He tried to partial refund me but it’s not working he said. At this point I need a new spoiler not a partial refund. I can’t even use this spoiler nothing will thread into it. You can see where it looks like it’s barely threaded but it’s messed up there’s no getting a bolt in there. My last spoilers thread was very visible and the bolts went in like butter.

Thanks for helping me get into contact with him Trips. As long as he sends me what I’ve paid for everything is good. We will see.

I will keep everyone updated.

Here is some pics of the threads on my old spoiler compared to the one that was sent to me. The new spoiler is the one with random holes drilled into it.
