madwi is correct... at wide open throttle it disengages the AC so you don't waste any power on it. When I was in High School, one of my buddies did

madwi is correct... at wide open throttle it disengages the AC so you don't waste any power on it.

When I was in High School, one of my buddies did a dyno day with his FC RX-7... on his last pull he ran with the AC turned on and it reduced his numbers by 10whp.
